Speedway Field Design

Figured someone would have posted about this already.  But this absolutely one of the coolest field designs in the state.   Hats off to the Speedway folks that incorporated the IMS logo and the "yard of bricks" for the 50 yard line.     Great job over there on the west side.

The yard of bricks on the midfield line is my favorite part about this. Such a great detail to add to make them unique.

Looks expensive.  Did IMS allow the use of their logo royalty free?

IMS and Speedway have an agreement of some sort. It's also on their basketball court. This stadium was in serious need of upgrades. As Speedway is a small-town within a big city, I'm sure that it was a scrutinized expense.

Sick turf design, if you're gonna spend the big bucks getting a new field, might as well go the whole 9 yards (of bricks).

Love the end zones. Midfield setup is cool, but for our officials on the board: don't they need some kind of either continuation of the white of the 50 yard line or a break on either side? There is a nice looking A in the middle of our field and we were told we had to use filed paint to finish the 50 yard line because the logo interrupts the 50.

A properly marked artificial surface has “shadow lines” going through logos, lettering, etc. They’re not really visible unless you’re on the playing surface.

One post in particular might suggest that the entire football field be bricks.
