156 Miles from Tri-West H.S. to Gibson Southern H.S.

196 Miles from McCutcheon H.S. to the Reitz Bowl.

200 Miles from West Lafayette H.S. to the Reitz Bowl.

Hope they have a nice hotel to stay at.

I really like this concept. 2 games on same day. Counties should do this if they have a way. Like Washington County has 3 teams (none of them in same conference anymore). Find a fourth and see if you can work something out.

Sponsorship covers visitor travel expenses, I believe.  Nothing saves taxpayer dollars like these sponsored bowl events.

That’s why they are playing Saturday.

And those distances are common come playoff time. Both GS (TW in 2021) and Reitz (Cathedral in 2009) have had Indy trips for semi state and state in back to back weeks.

Don't forget 205 Miles from Rochester IL, to Gibson Southern!

Gibson Southern is traveling there this season on Saturday, August 30th.

Does it come with a nice steak dinner for the entire visiting team after the game?

Boosters will likely feed the visitors!  No burden on the taxpayer. These types of events are such a good idea, I'm surprised you didn't think of it, Muda!

Nobody from southern Indiana wants to take a good chunk of the weekend to drive to Clinton county and play a game against Frankfort or Clinton Central.  Believe me.

The historic allure of the Reitz Bowl and the recent resurgence of the Gibson Southern program is why this event is happening.

They'd do it if they wanted a really big win margin.
