Muda69 Posted July 30, 2025 Posted July 30, 2025 156 Miles from Tri-West H.S. to Gibson Southern H.S. 196 Miles from McCutcheon H.S. to the Reitz Bowl. 200 Miles from West Lafayette H.S. to the Reitz Bowl. Hope they have a nice hotel to stay at. Quote
WWFan Posted July 30, 2025 Posted July 30, 2025 I really like this concept. 2 games on same day. Counties should do this if they have a way. Like Washington County has 3 teams (none of them in same conference anymore). Find a fourth and see if you can work something out. Quote

Both GS (TW in 2021) and Reitz (Cathedral in 2009) have had Indy trips for semi state and state in back to back weeks. 1 Quote

Boosters will likely feed the visitors! No burden on the taxpayer. These types of events are such a good idea, I'm surprised you didn't think of it, Muda! Edited July 30, 2025 by Titan32 2 Quote
RegionFBFan Posted July 30, 2025 Posted July 30, 2025 Excellent idea, Kudos to GS and ER fan bases and administration for supporting it!! 2 Quote
Titan32 Posted July 30, 2025 Author Posted July 30, 2025 I might be married to an FVP at United Fidelity Bank. If so.....what an odd coincidence. Quote
Indiana Fan Posted July 31, 2025 Posted July 31, 2025 Love little classics like this! Especially early on in the season with good weather. I wish we saw more of these. 1 Quote

Nobody from southern Indiana wants to take a good chunk of the weekend to drive to Clinton county and play a game against Frankfort or Clinton Central. Believe me. The historic allure of the Reitz Bowl and the recent resurgence of the Gibson Southern program is why this event is happening. Quote
