Richard C Posted September 22, 2025 Posted September 22, 2025 How are we in week 6 already?.. Looks like there is a clear cut favorite to win the conference and possibly make a deep run in the state tournament. North Vermillion @ Attica- I think this is a week that Coach Dean gets his second win of the year. From what I seen the Falcons played the Panthers physical last week they just didn't have the dudes to keep up. I think that this will be either a defensive battle or an offensive shootout. Attica 20 NV 12 The Woofs @ The Trojans- PH got a little snap back to reality last week against Seeger with their only points coming off of a safety. I knew it wouldn't be long before their "magical run" would be over. The Trojans are winning some games. Coach Wheeler has those dudes playing hard and they are getting in a groove. I think Covington plays harder than PH and will out physical them in this game. Trojans 30 Woofs 12 Seeger @ FC- Game of the week. This is going to be the battle to determine who comes in second and third in the conference. Seeger has a lot more athletes than FC does but after seeing FC play the Panthers in week 1 of conference play I think they are better up front. Is Foxworthy back? If so @ThePrince is going to take FC by 60+. I think this is going to be a close game but I am going to take Herb and his crew. FC 34 Seeger 22 SV @ The Panthers- Not sure how the Panthers only scored 48 points on the Falcons... maybe they play their young guys early. This is an old school rivalry that has a lot of tension between the two schools. Not sure of Coach Miller and the Mildcats have what it takes to beat the Panthers. Coach Sanders will have the Panthers ready to roll for this Wabash River Rivalry. RP 63 SV 12 1 Quote
WRC123 Posted September 22, 2025 Posted September 22, 2025 NV @ Attica - Battle for last place. I don't see a lot of points being scored in this one. Attica will play harder and double their win total. Attica 20 NV 13 PH @ Covington - I saw Covington is 4-1 for the first time in 35 years. I don't think they will have a problem with the Wolves. PH will be hungry after the loss to Seeger last week but it won't be enough. Covington wins 32-20 Seeger @ FC - Battle for second place. I have also heard that Foxworthy played last week. I don't think it matters because FC is just better upfront and defensively than Seeger is. FC wins 35-20 SV @ RP - After the slow start against the Falcons last week I think the Panthers will come out rolling. I heard they sat several starters just to rest last week. The are the #1 team in the state for a reason. Sanders and company will take out their anger from the game that was rained out year. Panther win 72-6 1 Quote
Marshall Mathers Posted September 22, 2025 Posted September 22, 2025 NV vs Attica - Crabtree out schemes the Ramblers. 28-13 NV PH vs Covington - This is a toss up for me, but Im going to go 33-27 Covington Seeger vs FC - If Foxworthy is playing Ill take FC 34-20 SV vs RP - RP by 100 1 Quote
ThePrince Posted September 22, 2025 Posted September 22, 2025 (edited) NV @ Attica - This game might be a tie... Who ever scores twice first wins the game. PH @ Covington - Covington is looking good. Their only loss coming to a good Mustang team. Covington will continue their winning this week. Wolves will keep it interesting for a bit. Covington 34 Wolves 20 Seeger @ Herb's - Foxworthy is back!!! He played against the Rambles last Friday and showed why he's the best qb in the WRC. He threw for 264 yards and 2 tds. He looked healthy too. FC is a DANGEROUS team with him at qb. I don't think this game will be close. KING will have all the answers the Seeger will try and throw at them. @Richard C Herb will have the starters out to rest so it won't get too ugly. FC wins 42 -20 SV @ RP - RPs game with NV was really close in the first half. I'm not sure if they were resting players or not but even if they were, it shouldn't be that close. SV could keep it close for a quarter but RP will pull away and win by 60+ Edited September 22, 2025 by ThePrince 2 Quote
KDumbwitty Posted September 22, 2025 Posted September 22, 2025 North Vermilion @ Attica - Give me the Red Ramblers, if for no other reason than they actually input their stats into Max preps before week 9. 33-14 The Woofs @ The little rubbers - The Woofs need this game badly. A win this week would likely secure them a 5-4 season or at least a chance to get to 5 wins before they finish with RP and FC to end the year..... ouch AND woof!!! Its hard to predict if Covington's record is an indication of their schedule strength, or they are for real. I like Covington's 1-2 punch in their backfield and their ability to score points and don't believe PH can keep up. 34-20 Covington Seeger @ Fountain Central - GAME OF THE WEEK or YEAR in the WRC. I actually think the QB from Seeger could be the best in the conference based on the year he's had. Some could argue it could be QB 1 at Covington, who's stats are outstanding. Hell, I'm sure the RP staff would argue that Little Sanders is the best based on his team's record and how he runs the offense. The former Herbies vs the current Herbies. Coach King has 43 wins between the two schools and only 6 of those are against teams that finished the season with a winning record. FC has a great chance to get him another W this week, and the losing team is behind the 8-ball looking up at the conference standings. Give me the Patriots. 24-17 South Vermilion @ The Tenderloins - If the football Gods have one small act to bless on this game, please make it rain. My 10-day forecast shows a slight chance of rain Friday in that area. We've also yet to hear from our sources at the National Weather Service to determine if SV has tried to move the game to a new date yet. Battle for the Milk Can? I don't believe this is a battle at all. 60-0 RP 1 1 Quote
JacobAllen24 Posted September 22, 2025 Posted September 22, 2025 This is going to be an interesting week. FC wrecked the Ramblers last week. Whether @KDumbwitty likes it or not @ThePrince was right. Coach Dean at Attica in this podcast, Coach Dean’s Hot Take, makes it clear what he thinks of FC, PH, Seeger, & NV. All their coaches should have a listen and use it as material to get their guys fired up. My picks for this week don’t align with him. I’ll take… The Wolves over Covington, PH is underrated, and Rector will have a game plan ready to win this battle of King’s assistant coaches. NV over Attica, it’ll be close, but Crabtree and Herb’s protege Earl will have a game plan together to keep the Rambler’s new losing streak going. FC over Seeger, FC is going to keep momentum rolling and edge out the Pats in a season changing game. Sanders and company will pound the Wildcats about the ways he does his tenderloins. 1 Quote

Bear54 Posted September 23, 2025 Posted September 23, 2025 I'm really hoping the rain will finally show up and be a factor this week. I love rain. We'll see... Week 6... North Vermillion @ Attica - The Falcons gave a good effort last week, but were clearly outmatched. This week it looks pretty even. The Ramblers got pounded by FC. I think they can compete, but not sure if they'll pull it off. NV 24 Attica 14 Parke Heritage @ Covington - I think these two are pretty evenly matched. Woolfs were humbled last week. Trojans pulled out a thriller. I think this week will be a similar type game, just a different result. PH 33 Cov 28 Seeger @ Fountain Central - This should be a dandy! Both the Patriots and the Mustangs flexed their muscles last week. This week comes down to defense. Whoever can get the most stops & turnovers will come out ahead. Home team with the close win. FC 35 Seeger 34 South Vermillion @ Riverton Parke - The Wildcats showed some grit against Covington, but came up short. The Panthers looked like the walking dead early on, but finally hit the ON button last week. I expect them to have all systems go this week. RP 63 SV 13 Quote
DoctorShrimpPuertoRico5 Posted September 23, 2025 Posted September 23, 2025 North Vermillion’s @ Attica Well this will be a fun one. Who has more athletes? I’ve not seen too much of Attica this year. Both teams should be looking to answer after both teams gave up 49 last week. I think it has the chance to be a higher scoring game with No defense but I don’t think that will be the case. I don’t think kickers are appreciated enough but Give me North Vermillion winning on a field goal from their 35 or closer 15-12 to give the falcons their first win on the 25 campaign. The Woofs @ The little rubbers I want to believe in the woofs here. I believe they’re on their way back up after a couple rough years. In a couple years I think we can see shades of the Johnson/Moore Era. The rubbers are doing alot of good things though. Kids are playing hard and want to be there. Coach Wheeler has started to revive the rubbers and I think the future is bright. I just believe their future is even brighter in Parke County. Give me the woofs to hand the rubbers their second loss of the season. 36-32 Seeger @ Fountain Central Best game of Week 6. I will continue to argue that the Horses are a good team who I thought would win the conference. Obviously that didn’t happen. Injuries are putting the horses down. Seeger surprised me this year. Didn’t think we would be in week 6 and they would be 4-1. I also didn’t think there point total would be 187pf to 69pa. Thought they would be playing closer games but they proved me wrong. Patriots are claiming second in conference this week. 42-18 South Vermilion @ The Tenderloins I hope the cats give a little fight. Nobody enjoys a massacre but that’s what’s going to happen. Maybe the cats start preparing for baseball early. Going to be a longer fall and winter than the cats are used to. Tenderloins is one of the best teams in the area. Tenderloins will only lose one game this year. RP by 70 maybe more Quote
WRC guru Posted September 26, 2025 Posted September 26, 2025 North Vermillion @ Attica- Could be a good game but unfortunately NV will just be too much for the Ramblers. Ramblers offense just seems stagnant and quite frankly looks like they have no clue what's going on. NV seems to be starting to come around to their play style. Crabtree gets his first win this year. 24-14 Parke Heritage @ Covington - I think the little rubbers come out on top in this one. Covington will be able to match the wolves physicality and shut down the run. The wolves are much improved and it helps that Rector is there everyday. Give me Covington 35-21 Seeger @ FC- It's crazy to me how good you guys think FC is...I think this game could be good for the first quarter but after that it'll be all Seeger. I've watched both teams in person this year and Seeger is 100% the better team. I have a feel this game could get ugly. Give me Seeger 49-21 South Vermillion @ Riverton Parke - about the only game where we all can agree on the outcome. RP by however many they want. Biggest question of the day is, Is Sanders still pissed about Barrett cancelling and play on a Saturday??? Quote

Lucy Draper Posted September 26, 2025 Posted September 26, 2025 North Vermillion @ Attica - This one is too close to call, so whichever team does a Haka in pregame will be the winner. Wolfs @ Men of Troy - There will be Wolf scats all over Herb's yard after the Parke Heritage victory tonight. Did he get the Mustang poop cleaned up from two weeks ago? Seeger @ Fountain Central - Game of the week. KIng Herb, Prince, and JacobAllen will have much to celebrate tonight. Mustangs beat the Pats, and it won't be as close as some think. Hopefully Herb stretches before the game because he's going to be doing his PAT kick signal several times tonight. Don't want to pull a hammy. South Vermillion @ Riverton Parke - Panthers come out fast to prove that their slow start last week against the Falcons was a fluke.
