IU will never know if they're even the best team in their own state. There’s zero truth to it. Absolutely asinine to suggests this years national title is illegitimate because 2 loss Notre Dame isn’t in the field. Literally the most absurd thing I’ve ever heard. Notre Dame fans and their delusions of grandeur don’t disappoint. Never change! 6 minutes ago, gonzoron said: Yep, you just made my block list. I have 4 drivelers on there now. That’s BS and you know it. Indiana has the best 2 wins in the country, at Oregon and beating Ohio State on a neutral field. If they win 3 tough ass games to win the natty, there ain’t no damn asterisk because they didn’t have to beat a team that blew 2 games against eventual CFP teams. 0-2 vs. CFP teams isn’t getting it done and with that weak schedule means no playoff. I saw this coming and I said as much while you were boasting of a guaranteed spot for the Irish. Then you double down and trash the CFP teams are basically call it a sham because they Irish didn’t earn it on the field. 1 Quote

Bama over Miami because I'd expect them to force Beck to make enough errors to make up for their offensive issues. I don't like them against A&M. Obviously they win all the games ND won. I could see ND at 10-2 against Bama's schedule. This isn't Saban's Bama, and the top of the SEC doesn't have a monopoly on talent anymore. I would have liked to see ND play Georgia again. Quote

The Irish are better than an invitation to play BYU at the............Pop Tarts Bowl. I commend Notre Dame for opting out. Why slap the players in the face with a game like that? Why deny a senior the opportunity to play their final game and experience a bowl?? Why take the extra time to develop younger players? Why slap your own players in the face in protest of a decision you don’t like. Hugely disappointing. Quote

Clemson lost in the championship the next year, and won it the next year, and lost in a semifinal the following year. They won another championship in 2018 and lost the next year in the championship. I am not so sure anyway saw the conference falling to the point it has now. Just like Notre Dame's schedule. A number of match ups were set several years ago, when teams have been better than they are now. That’s true….but they also decline to discuss opportunities with the Big 10 to gain a 5 game partial schedule with the ACC to maintain their “independence”. In reality it was about $$. They made their bed……. Quote

Both have 16 teams in the playoffs.. As for NIL. It's is now absolutely imperative to have an independent governing body in charge! The WILD WEST will be the death of College Football. $100 handshakes are now a thing of the past That’s fair YG. I like 16. Makes sense. Agree also about NIL regulation. 1 Quote

Bobref Posted December 7, 2025 Posted December 7, 2025 I’m not a conspiracy theorist, but there are plenty of them out there. I’ve previously made my feelings known about Notre Dame and the CFP. I have no beef with the Committee’s decision. But some people are wondering aloud about the coincidence that ESPN, who paid $7.8 Billion for the exclusive broadcast rights to the CFP, also is the network with exclusive broadcast rights to SEC football. 1 Quote

Being the fourth most likely to win according to Vegas is a sham? Favored by 5.5 points at Oklahoma is a sham? It's a sham because the SEC and ACC are in bed with ESPN who happen to run the CFP. You're a Notre Dame grad and you don't share the utter anger and disbelief that the entire university is feeling right now? I'm utterly pissed at the committee for their continued coddling of Alabama. This has nothing to do with Miami. It has everything to do with the SEC, especially Alabama who everyone, including the committee, knows that ND would beat them by double digits. It's okay to be pissed Bob. Quote
