ASJCPUMA Posted November 9, 2025 Posted November 9, 2025 I start a post on this because of Myles McLaughlin. The kid has been unreal his whole career. The community is ready for this team to keep moving towards Lucas Oli. Can the Hornets stop the one-man wrecking crew and contain the rest? Quote
Sparty Posted November 9, 2025 Posted November 9, 2025 Side note…. What a great coaching match up. 2 Quote

SMAUG Posted November 13, 2025 Posted November 13, 2025 One kid can’t make a team, he can change a team. How about a little love for his OL and WR’s giving him some space? Quote

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Insert TE!!!!! 🙂 Literally 7 OL, 2 TEs most times, sometimes 8 OL and 1 TE, then an H back or WING to go with that 9-10 man front, sometimes another Back with Myles in the backfield ZERO WRs. But the notion you statement is very accurate: I said it the congratulations thread on breaking record..... His OL is outstanding and many of them are UNDERCLASSMEN 1 Quote
BLACKGOLD2007 Posted November 13, 2025 Posted November 13, 2025 If/When Myles breaks this record, it will have his name on it, but that will be 100% team earned. The real question is can Angola slow him down enough to make Myles earn the record during the state title game. Based on his normal per game average Myles could come close to breaking the record in Semi-State, but would essentially just need to show up for the state game. Myles per max prep is recording 366 yards per game. That would put him 5 yards short of the record. With him just needing essentially a first down to break the record at the state game. It would be a huge moment for him to break the record at the State game, but if I were him I would want that done and over with before state so, there is no additional distraction to the biggest game of his and his teammates lives. I've been thinking about this for a few weeks now. I totally agree that it would be an AWESOME moment to break it in the State game but I also agree TOTALLY with your "if I were him I would want that done and over with before state" statement. I think he needs to get as much as he possibly can against Angola because Semi-State against (likely Luers) will not be a guaranteed W nor a guaranteed 300+ yards. Luers is allowing 14 points a game this year and I think it's PRETTY clear their schedule is a much tougher than Knox's. Quote

I have not seen Luers, but know that they are never an easy out. Small school that typically plays teams above their weight class. Could Myles get 240 against Luers? Quote
Sparty Posted November 13, 2025 Posted November 13, 2025 Folks counting out Twin Lakes already? Dang. Quote

Well seeing as this is their first Sectional since '02, I figured rolling with the Knights was logical. Twin Lakes certainly has a chance but I like the Knights in that one. Quote

I honestly thought he needed close to 400 last week and this week. I've kind of been anticipating a crazy high rushing yards playoff game (400+) and it hasn't happened yet so MAYBE this is the week? Do you think that maybe Luers give up the yards but just not give up the points? If that is the case Myles career ends in semi-state but could still achieve the record. Man it will be interesting to see what happens. Quote

Also Knox 35-14. Angola's Hawk Hassleman will attempt to do his best Myles McLaughlin impression, but I don't think it will be enough for the Hornets. Quote

Don't disagree with you as it is the major reason why I think Twin Lakes has a good chance to win tonight (almost picked 'em in the eliminator challenge for a shot at the points). Hard to pick against the Knights for me but do love the coaching matchup. 18 hours ago, BLACKGOLD2007 said: Do you think that maybe Luers give up the yards but just not give up the points? They could, especially if they have a different plan in the redzone than they do outside of it. I don't see why that would be the case though given how Knox's offense is ran. Quote
