seems dumb that a team at 13-0 looking for their first trip to LOS needed more motivation but it’s probably a good thing the kids don’t really read forums these days anyways.

 

i think all things considered this GS team outperformed a lot of expectations and this class in general spent 4 years with crazy shoes to fill and yet they made their own mark still.  
 

At least for me, this GS class just always had a chance and played with more grit than any other GS class I can think of….especially this year. 
 

also hats off to Klem on a helluva HS career.  speculating but I’m thinking he will finish as a 4 time all stater for football?? and has at least 100 TFLs I would think. Plenty of other stats but what a guy.  Curious if anyone knows if he broke the records his brother set? (I know one you does 😉)

Seems dumber for anyone beyond school age to provide that kind of bulletin board fodder.

I just don’t think anything said here really impacts how motivated kids are or how well they play.  External motivation is a losers game 
 

I am completely unaware of what actually happened with the radio broadcast and a fan though….or what was actually said and I don’t really care to learn more.  It’s a distraction.

lotta kids played their last game of football.  A bunch more only have 1 game left

You didn't miss much. The radio announcers likely felt uncomfortable but handled it the best you could.

It basically was fan asking are you (insert name). Radio guy yes why. Fan I want to thank you for the motivation you gave to our guys this week they were fired up after your facebook comments. Anything else really tailed off. Radio guys apologized for anything that may have been heard on air. pretty much it.

I highly doubt the players needed anymore motivation than a chance to play for their first State Title. Most likely it was more of adults fired up by any said comments and not players but that is just my opinion.

100% agree I think anything that was stated likely had more impact on adults and getting them more fired up than the kids. Generally speaking the players are usually focused on their plays and keys and other teenage HS stuff.

The titans showed a lot of heart climbing back into the game after digging a hole. Cadets players showed a lot of heart withstanding the Titans comeback. Both teams did what you love to see leave it all out on the field. The back up QB was thrust into a difficult situation with his first start being Semi-State game he will get better from it.

Ouch. Hope he recovers. I wondered..the QB seemed to settle in during the 2nd half yet could tell he may be getting his varsity legs..

Sounds like a game changer..that offense looked formidable without him..with him..possibly getting fitted for a ring..not shading cascade..
