I think they'll do well. They're used to winning championships though. Their ceiling will be winning the Mountain West. No shot at a National Championship. Quote
Irishman Posted February 15 Author Posted February 15 So with the fee the school paid the MAC, the account balance for the MAC is now $18,000,011.00 😄 1 Quote

Bash Riprock Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Not sure if this should go on the high school or college side….but reading a fair amount about this on social media. Quote

I know a number of athletes take courses online so their schedule is more flexible there. That is what he is referring to as ND does not have an option for that. Quote

Not sure how a university most known for athletes who are there for a degree is also the most hated institution in America. Kinda shows how are priorities are screwed up. Most fans root for the team, not necessarily the educational value that the team they are playing for offers. Did I hear correctly, Notre Dame landed five 5-star football players in this year's class? That's a first if accurate. Quote

I read this on a number of sources...not just Outkick. If you live on campus, get your butt in a seat in a classroom. Ridiculous. Least you can do for a scholly and a salary. I find it hard to believe ND doesn't have an option for virtual learning....guessing they choose a different expectation for their STUDENT athletes. My favorite has been Carson Beck's quote about Miami education. "I graduated from UGA 2 years ago....I haven't attended a class at Miami". (abbreviation of his quote) Quote

Also a Harvard graduate in economics and a father of 8 children. Guess while he is proud, probably not a fan of drawing attention to oneself....and announcing that he's playing D3 football. 1 Quote
Bobref Posted February 26 Posted February 26 USC has found a replacement for Notre Dame, after deserting one of the great rivalries in college football. They will play San Jose St. Last season the Spartans ranked #144 in Sagarin’s final rankings after finishing 3-9. In the last 5 seasons the Spartans are 29-33, and are members of the Mountain West Conference. Since it’s USC, my expectations were low to begin with. But still, the Trojans managed to fall short. 1 Quote
