The Tenderloins made a statement against a ranked team on the road. They’ve given up about 105 yards of total offense. They probably won’t be challenged until the regional round. No real big surprises except The Rubbers losing this week.

FC vs RP - Ill take RP for 800 Alex

NV vs Covington - NV is still struggling offensively. They have no run game, but Hinchee has some upside. Covington lost to the Polytechnicians last week. Ill still take Covington this week by a few scores. 27-12

Seeger vs Attica - Seeger by as many as they want. QB had quite a week last week 5 TDs no INTs. Is he the best QB in the conference? 47-6

SV vs PH - This is game of the week for me. PH dominated last week, and SV got a spankin. PH will have home field advantage, but the Cats will use the power of the Little Italy Festival weekend to win on a last second hail mary, then stompa da grapes on the field directly after. 35-34

FC @ RP - Will anyone give the Panthers a close game this year? That Tri team was no push over. This may truly be the Panthers year. The qb #13 and rb #17 might be the best backfield we have seen in some time. Panthers by as much as they want.

NV @ Covington - Covington's qb will be the best athlete on the field and he'll show that all night. Covington will be looking to bounce back after a tough loss last week and I think they come out firing. Covington 31-12

Seeger @ Attica - Seeger by as much as they want. The Pats are slinging the ball around and I love it. I think he is the most accurate in the WRC. Look for the same things this week. 

SV @ PH - Only game that will be close and I think PH has the potential to make it not close. I think the Wolves will dominate up from but can they slow down the athletes at SV? I think it will be back and fourth in the first half but the Wildcats can only take the beating for so long before they roll over. Wolves 35-21

In terms of who the best qb in the conference is I think there are a couple that look promising when it comes to passing Salts from Seeger, Bishop from Covington, Shryock from SV aren't too bad

In terms of running it from the qb position its no doubt McConell from RP, Foxworthy from FC and Bishop from Covington

Fountain Central @ Riverton Parke - RP brought a kid off the bench last week that was most likely sharing numbers with another underclassmen and he scored 3 TD's.  Pope #2A adds to a backfield of McConnell and Collom making RP even more dangerous and we haven't seen any sign of Lesniak yet, right?   Did anyone else watch this game online and see RP in spread most of the night?  Billy?   Is that your influence?  RP pulls the dudes early to stay healthy and get reps for the B team RP 45- FC 7

North Vermillion @ Covington - Just when we thought Covington scheduled cupcake stat stuffers to start the season, their late add game was tougher than we all thought.   The Trojans athletes' flex their muscle in this one.   Covington 35 - NV 13 

Seeger @ Attica -  Hey, Hey what do you say!!  The Patriots are back and slinging the ball around the field.   If they keep this up, they'll be a tough out for any WRC team.  Salts is a dude!!  Seeger 55 Attica 12

South Vermillions @ The Woofs.   -  I'm not saying this is a must win for either team or coach, but both teams have aspirations of finishing top 3 in the conference, and this game would go a long way to getting there.    In a tough game to call, I always take the best player on the field and that is Burgess from PH.   Woofs 28 SV 20

Panthers' JV squad are usually the ones doing the scoring in the 4th quarter. 

 

Anyways, Week 3 Picks...

Fountain Central @ Riverton Parke - Mustangs took it on the chin up at Crawfordsville. The Panthers are not Crawfordsville. I think Sagarin needs some tweeking. It is going to be a very emotional night Friday in Mecca. Panthers win by at least 30

North Vermillion @ Covington - Well, I guess I had the Trojans wrong last week. I'm still scratching my head about that one. The Falcons, however, have a long way to go, but they always seem to give Covington some fits. This one is closer than expected. 28-18

Seeger @ Attica - Patriots looked pretty decent, chucking it everywhere. Ramblers also got a nice win. I just don't think they match up with Seeger very well. 42-12

South Vermillions @ Parke Heritage - Visor Jr's got humbled after being up at Sullivan early. Do the Woolfs play any away games? I think this is three in a row in Rockville. I don't think it will matter where this played. PH will wear down the still young Visor Jr's. 34-14

FC @ RP - Panthers are the best team in 1A and its not even close. If they would've done some of the spread stuff last year we would be talking about a repeat state champion. Brad Sanders is cementing himself as one of the best coaches in WRC history. He's close to being in the conversations with the likes of Herb King and Brian Moore. He has all the pieces now he just has to go out and get the job done.

NV @ Covington - I would not be surprised if this is close early on but the Trojans will pull away and win by at least three scores. NV is still very young but from what I am hearing Crum is doing great things. Should be competitive for about two or three quarters but the Trojans pull away late. 38-18

Seeger @ Attica - Seeger by a bunch. The QB will throw for a million yards against poor competition all year and will struggle against teams with a heartbeat. 

SV @ PH - Game of the week. SV's athletes keep them in the game and it will come down to the last couple positions. I'll take PH scoring late in the fourth to win 28-21

FC @ RP- The Panthers may be all they are hyped up to be. The defense has given up 12 points in two games against two high ranked opponents. Offensively Billy Bettis may have been on the headset Saturday night calling all of the spread things. Earl is doing the right things at FC just not sure if he has the dudes to do it yet. Foxworthy is going to be a dang good athlete he's just young. I'll take the Panthers with a running clock.

NV @ Covington- Man were we all wrong about the Trojans picking up another stat padder. I think this one shocked the whole WRC. NV just doesn't have the kids yet but I think they will get better as the season goes on. Covington will get the best of the Falcons. Give me the Trojans by 3 scores. 

Seeger @ Attica- Seeger is slinging the ball all over the place and doing exactly want Cronk wanted to do. They did knock the King off of his throne last week in a blow out win. Attica is just not there yet. I think they may have one or two more competitive games this season but that will be it for the Ramblers. Hats of to Coach Dean. Seeger by as many as they want. 

SV @ PH- This is the game of the week in the WRC. SV has the athletes to compete and they showed that winning the first quarter against Sullivan last week. I just think PH is to much for them to handle. I'll take the Rox winning this one late in the fourth by a score.
