Bloomington South 24 Muncie Central 14 (half)

The Panthers were their own worst enemy with a first half filled with major penalties and a pick 6. The Bearcats get the ball to start the 3rd.

Southmont takes over the game in the 3rd quarter.  42-6 Mounties at the end of the 3rd.

Running clock for the 4th quarter, thank goodness.

Trojans are dominating the second half. 21-10 Trojans now with 2:30 to play. Ben Davis had a chance to take a lead driving it all the way to the Trojans' 3 but drive stalled. Trojans grind out a 97-yard game clinching drive. Have we seen this before from Eric Moore?

Bloomington South 45 Muncie Central 21 (final)

It was a sloppy game by both teams, especially with the major penalties, but South had enough to put the Bearcats away.

FG no good.  Cathedral wins 16-14.

You're partially correct.  The Trojans kicker put one through from about 37 yards, but the Irish were offsides, a dead ball foul.  From the 32 he was wide right.  It was an absolute classic and the Irish had to beat some late home cooking to get the win.  There were no punts in the game until 1:07 left when Cathedral punted the ball to the Trojans.  With that score you would think it was a defensive battle but it was offense all the way for both teams.  And both teams only turned the ball over once each.  And the place was packed!  There were fans standing two and three deep on the fences on both sides!  I need some rest!

You're correct I just gave the short version since I was exhausted from the long walk from the bleachers to my car.

There were people walking to their cars almost a mile away.

Nex  It took me longer to get out of the neighborhood than it took me to drive home, and I live out by Ben Davis and Covenant Christian.  I was there at 5:30 and had to park more than two blocks away.  It was like old times having a big crowd for a big Catholic game.
