They can compete for sure...but there are less of them, so classification based on enrollment alone doesn't work.

Agreed.  Only a true system of promotion/relegation would take the scourge of enrollment-based classification out of the equation.

You can't have a true system because the players age out and you aren't picking them yourself from a talent pool.  That is very different than the leagues that use promotion/relegation.

Can we look at the previous four years, throw out the highest and lowest point totals, then classify with the two remaining totals?

So, the kids are paying for their predecessors athleticism.?.?  Maybe we should make some good coaches resign to make it equitable.
