I missed Lucas Gosnell from Mitchell. Made the team as a punter.

In regards to the coach leaving Eastern Pekin, there's talk that they may not continue their football long term, so maybe this had something to do with it? I have there is already conversation in the conference with another school to take Pekin's place in the conference.

I was told the same thing by two different people Friday.

Seems crazy. Numbers aren't bad. Support always seemed good fan wise. So would they leave the MSC and join somewhere else or would MSC just try and add like Madison to fill the football part? Never thought Crawford may outlast them.

Could Pekin join the Patoka Lake conference?

Think they (pekin) talked about it couple years ago and don't believe it went over at all. Probably a better fit in PLAC but not sure it'll ever happen.

I always thought Pekin might have jumped the gun starting their program. Their at the time superintendent, former Brownstown HS principal really pushed hard. I’m a football guy, I want to see football succeed, but I’m not sure it’s in the cards there.

There is a reason that Henryville has never started a program. Salem has more kids than Pekin and they struggle to be competitive. Just not a good area for football. The kids aren't very big.

Henryville has reinstituted their youth program, with a possible eye on it leading up to a high school program. At least that is what I heard. We'll see if it ever happens. They're the largest school in the state without football and would be a solid 2A program. There's a lot of potential there, if they choose to go forward.

I think it could be successful if they were able to compete in the PLAC or even if they were to go independent. I know in the past the school has not been willing to make a move due to the gates they get at other sports in the MSC.

If I recall, wasn’t Henryville suppose to be coming shortly after SC started theirs? SC left and started their own school corp and it seemed like Henryville kind of lost steam, eventually dropping their youth program.
