2024 Election - Biden vs Trump - The rematch

Guys - There's nothing strange going on here.  A 20 year shooter had never used social media or posted a single thing on the internet, ever and his phone cannot be accessed because it has a password that even our government's best hackers can't get around.  Stole his dad's long gun and was able to get within 200 yards of a former President and take a few shots before getting killed.  That's all - normal stuff.......And now the FBI is on the case so yeah, it's all good......

So predictable.

So, was the guy who was shot and killed the actual shooter? Or was he some unwilling patsy who was sacrificed for the greater good?

So the late Mr. Mandela was president of the USA?

I don't know.  Please provide evidence of this cult surrounding Ms. Harris.

The "squad." If Trumps voters are considered a cult, then "the squad" is a cult on steroids.

Like I posted earlier BR.

Someone will lose their job at Secret Service - There is a 500 - 1000 rule in the SS.  No weapons within 1000 ft of the principle, no movement unnoticed/ignored within 500 feet.  Also - the only 2 counter-sniper troops positioned right next to each other.  This guy was 400 ft away - It appeared one CS had his sights on the assassin but didn't pull the trigger until he shot first.   Either complete negligence by the perimeter command (hard to believe) or a conspiracy to remove Trump (hard to accept).

In my eyes a complete failure in the command - I am hearing that "the CS didn't immediately get clearance to fire once a threat was identified" IF- IF - IF that is the case with the amount of trained eyes landing on the target someone is complicit.  On the other side of the coin, IF - IF - IF this were that case - you would have thought they would have recruited someone other than a kid who couldn't make the HS league shooting club because of his lack of skills.  (That alone tells me he was just a Kook out there on his own) - but still how does a 20 year old kid carrying a rifle get that close to a former President who is protected by a team that is under the purview of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas? (who is doing such a great job at our southern border)

Sure.  There can be multiple cults, all across the political spectrum.

Sounds like the FBI was able to access the cellphone:

The FBI has gained access to the password-protected phone of Thomas Matthew Crooks, the 20-year-old Pennsylvania man who shot at Donald Trump on Saturday before being killed by the Secret Service, according to a new report from the New York Times. But it’s still not clear what kind of help the phone may provide in determining a precise motive for the assassination attempt.

The FBI didn’t immediately respond to an email from Gizmodo on Monday afternoon, but told 404 Media that specialists were now able to access the phone and “they continue to analyze his electronic devices.”

Further details about how the FBI gained access and what other electronic devices belonging to Crooks may be searched were not released, though the agency reportedly told the Times that it had “fully searched the gunman’s car and residence” and received “hundreds of digital media tips,” including photos and videos from the scene. The FBI has also conducted almost 100 interviews with “law enforcement personnel, event attendees, and other witnesses,” according to the Times.

Yep, and the “Trump cult” you speak of is just one of many.

I’d argue the “vote blue no matter who” cult is worse as certain demographics of folks continue to simply pull the democrat lever every 4 years despite being used as pawns and empty promises that are never fulfilled being pushed in the campaign.

By the way, this will be by 7th presidential election in which I have voted.  I’ve gone red twice, blue twice and independent twice.  Guess this is the tie breaker.

Seeing the Teamsters pop in to the RNC was kinda cool to see and odd to SF.  Didn't totally agree with everything the man said pertaining to corporate profits, but he made some sense on varying economy/workers topics.  Still not a union guy though but feels like the party is opening up a little.  A sign that Trump is having some heavier influence?

That's a good one. In my opinion, the Dem's know they have a naive base of voters. They exploit that to a very disturbing degree.

This election ended Saturday night. The D’s know it, my guess is the calls for Biden to step down will quickly subside, and crazy Uncle Joe is going to take one for the team, and ride off into the sunset. All the money will get funneled into down ballot races.

Curious as to your rationale here.

Don’t trust em.  100+ days remaining and they are more desperate than ever.

I tend to agree almost absolutely IO - However, I can't seem to let myself believe they don't have something more up their desperate sleeve(s).  They have tried throwing the book at him for almost anything short of removing the tags off his mattress only to have most charges tossed out of court, tried to bankrupt him (which will eventually be tossed out), literally changed existing state laws to charge AND convict him for a book-keeping (misdemeanor) error (also will be tossed out on appeal).  Seriously man - what's next?  Kinda why SF isn't able to let himself believe the assassination attempt wasn't a set-up as well. (I know - its a long unlikely stretch BR)

I also do NOT buy into "Biden's running the Executive Branch" which (IMHO) is a lot easier to conjecture than the assassin conspiracy, I just wonder who is really in charge.  Is it Jill, Hillary, Barack?  IDK.

It’s Jill and Hunter. I’ve thought the same thing for four years, who’s calling the shots, in the last month or so it’s painfully obvious. Jill Biden has shown herself to just be evil in my opinion.
The D’s know the problems involved with forcing him out at this time, and my guess is Harris is a hell of a lot less palatable than Biden for ANYONE at the ballot box. No upcoming star in the party is going to get involved in this shit show. Newsome (not without his own issues), Whittier……ehhh, four years is about perfect timing.

Is anyone else picking up on some hypocrisy when the SS Chief claiming the "sloped roof" being a reason there was nobody on the roof in Butler, PA. while looking at the snipers that actually shot the guy who were on an even MORE sloped roof?  Still shaking my head...

Nearly two-thirds of Democrats want Biden to withdraw, new AP-NORC poll finds: https://apnews.com/article/biden-trump-poll-drop-out-debate-democrats-59eebaca6989985c2bfbf4f72bdfa112

Nearly two-thirds of Democrats say President Joe Biden should withdraw from the presidential race and let his party nominate a different candidate, according to a new poll, sharply undercutting his post-debate claim that “average Democrats” are still with him even if some “big names” are turning on him.

The new survey by the AP-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, conducted as Biden works to salvage his candidacy two weeks after his debate flop, also found that only about 3 in 10 Democrats are extremely or very confident that he has the mental capability to serve effectively as president, down slightly from 40% in an AP-NORC poll in February.

The findings underscore the challenges the 81-year-old president faces as he tries to silence calls from within his own party to leave the race and tries to convince Democrats that he’s the best candidate to defeat Donald Trump. The poll was conducted mostly before Saturday’s assassination attempt on Trump at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania. It’s unclear whether the shooting influenced people’s views of Biden, but the small number of poll interviews completed after the shooting provided no early indication that his prospects improved.

...

So will Mr. Biden really step down from the election?

I don't think Mrs. Biden will let him......

So, Biden throws in the towel. Now follows a sh*t show of mammoth proportions. And who is the beneficiary of this? Honestly, the only thing that appeals to me about Trump is that he’s got to be the luckiest SOB on the planet.

  • One of the great Robber Barons of our time has been transformed, by overreaching prosecutors, into a martyr of sorts — a sort of modern day Robin Hood.
  • His opponent pees down his leg on national TV.
  • An assassin’s bullet merely clips his ear, scant inches from turning his head into a canoe.
  • His opponent folds like a cheap suit, leaving the Blues scrambling like mad just a few months before the election.

If I were Trump, it’s time to go into the prevent defense, and just take the air out of the ball between now and November.

Get ready (as if it weren't obvious before) for the "Convicted Felon" and the "twice impeached" mantras along with the January 6 attempted Coup and "we've got to stop Trump from stealing our Democracy" lines to be the only arrows in the quiver the left has moving forward.  Already in the talking points all over the news this morning as they all stand back and heap praise on the man with over 50 years in the federal government while calculating the next move(s) with or without his chosen running mate.

Don’t forget the former DA getting her shot at the “convicted felon.”
