  1. Past hour
  2. These are all great matchups: 1. HSE/Carroll - This game is huge for Carroll, beat HSE and you are on the map for contention this year 2. Roncalli/Dwenger - Two heavyweights in a rematch of the state title game last year 3. Adams Central/Luers - Two of the very best pound for pound programs in the state 4. North Side/East Noble - Statement game for both programs. Is North all hype? Can East Noble have a repeat performance from last year? 5. Snider/Warsaw - Can the Panthers rebound from a dismal season last year? Can Warsaw continue to build on their success from the last few years with Bart ball?
  3. @hhpatriot04 Are you going to do 8-man teams as well? Waldron has some pretty cool helmets.
  4. This topic blows my mind. Can't make an NFL roster as a UFA? Then go BACK to college? Sure, it you're working on and advanced degree or just trying to finish out your Bachelor's. But, to play football again? What a joke.
  5. I really like the idea of Co-Op programs. Not sure how it would work or be regulated, but the idea seems good.
  6. Football is back... Attica at Faith Christian - This is a tough call. I keep hearing Attica is improving, but their numbers say otherwise. Don't know much about Faith. I'll stay with the WRC. I'll take Attica 28-14 Carroll at Seeger - Good early season matchup. Cronk era begins for the Patriots. I've seen the Carroll faithful are excited to get this season started. Cougars like the ground and pound. Don't know if Seeger will like that. Carroll 28-24 Covington at Tri County - Whatever. If the Trojans want to be taken seriously, they need to beef up the schedule. Covington 42-14 Crawfordsville at Parke Heritage - Don't know much about this year's edition of the Athenians. Have heard the Woolfs think they are a top 10 team. I'm not so sure. C-Ville 35-34 North Central at North Vermillions - Hopefully the injury bug is over for the Birds. Heard a lot of dudes were sitting out the scrimmage. Curious to see how the Falcons respond to their new coach. That hype video was great. Away team wins 35-12 Riverton Parke - Linton at Rose Hulman - Great match up. Heard this one is on the docket for at least three more years. I think the more experienced players, not coaches, take control of this game early, but the Miners will keep fighting. RP wins. 40-24 Southmont at Fountain Centrals - Coach Earl will do good things. He just might have to wait a week or two, or three for his first win. Mounties win. 35-7 West Vigo at South Vermillions - Crabtree is just what the Vikings need. The Wildcats are are still who we think they are. Vikings sack Clinton. 21-14
  7. It's WAWG. Some sort of a mantra The Gov's have:
  8. Today
  9. Knox @ North Judson- NJ looking for revenge after last year's loss to the county rival. I look for a lot of scoring early but the Jays to settle in on D and get some stops. Jays 38 - 22. South Central @ Wheeler- Wheeler has some great skilled players. Looks like they may have a strong air attack this season. SC starting a young team this year. Wheeler 56 - 6. LaVille @Triton- Close one here. I look for Laville to sneak out a W against their rival. Anxious to see how the new coach settles in. Laville 24-20. Central Noble @ Culver - CN looks to have a bounce back year and Culver still chasing some consistency in their play. CN 30 - 20. Caston @ Whitko - Caston has the potential to compete this season in their conference. They will be a hard-hitting team and I think they pull off a convincing win tonight. Caston 40 - 13. West Central @ Winamac- Will Winamac bounce back after the big loss to county rival WC last season? Not likely as WC returned a big portion of the team. WC 40 - 20. Northfield @ North Miami - NM graduated some solid talent but seem to be figuring something out. Curious to see how their younger guys step up. NM 22 - 14. Pioneer @ Lewis Cass - This is the most intriguing matchup as Pioneer lost a lot of their production from last season, but then again, it's Pioneer. They will be ready to roll heading into this season and looking for a chance to head back down south. Lewis Cass brings back a lot of talent with the exception of their +2000 yard back. Coming off a strong 8-4 record and ready for revenge after the 0-28 loss to Pioneer last season. Hard to pick against the panthers, give me Pioneer 28-22.
  10. Eastern Pekin @ West Washington Jennings County @ Paoli Lafayette Central Catholic @ Mitchell Springs Valley @ Edgewood Switzerland County @ Crawford County Tell City @ Perry Central Brownstown @ Corydon North Harrison @ Salem Scottsburg @ Madison Silver Creek @ Charlestown
  11. I'll take the Chili Polar Bears as the best among the now closed schools.
  12. Caston at Whitko, Caston Logansport at Peru, Berries Maconaquah at Sheridan, Blackhawks Northfield at North Miami-Warriors Northwestern at Manchester Tigers Pioneer at Cass- Panthers Southwood at Rochester- Zebras
  13. Are you sure that's the correct Morton? Some names of schools have the same name in different states.
  14. Not surprised, a few years ago a neurologist here in Fort Wayne told me that High school football is slowly going away. He stated that concussion are the biggest threat. I know Dwenger's numbers are down. Mostly because several want to focus on Rugby. They play 8 man out in the western parts of the country. Honestly i have gotten board at games, the game has changed. With Lacrosse getting popular i wonder if that will replace football in 10 to 15 years. Hope not. Schoolsports gear Educationalresources
  15. If I lived in Fort Wayne I'd go see Hamilton SE at Carroll.
  16. I’m aware… just like the Shoals Jug Rox!
  17. Northeast Dubois Jeeps is still open ... no football program.
  18. To discuss Girl's Flag Football and Unified Flag Football? I'd vote yes to cover both. Cover as many football athletes as we can!
  19. Avon Brownsburg Fishers Franklin Central Hamilton Southeastern Noblesville Westfield Zionsville
  20. Lest we never forget the Bombers, Satellites, Jeeps, and even the Rifles, Rockets, and Troopers from schools that are no longer with us.
  21. I’m a fan of nicknames that protect and govern our beloved land—Cadets, Generals, Minutemen (plural mind you😉) Senators, Governors. But no Presidents?!? And don’t anyone bring up the Lewis Cass Kings…
  22. If you lived in Fort Wayne, which game would you go to? Everyone of these games could come down to the last play. Thirty five minutes to the north: North Side at East Noble Fifty minutes to the west: Snider at Warsaw Or stay right here at home: Hamilton Southeastern at Carroll, Roncalli at Dwenger, or Adams Central at Luers?
  23. Bison and Kingsmen are plural... You're right though (i.e. "Stanford Tree").
  24. Not all nicknames are plural—Benton Central Bison and Penn Kingsmen…
