  1. For those of us that don’t drink beer, the answer is yes.

  2. The NCAA just cancelled their agreement with Harbaugh to suspend him for 4 games and will go to the Infractions Committee after the season. Have to think this is Harbaugh’s last season at Michigan and will go out Pete Carroll style.

  3. In an interview with wane.com last night, coach Jason Garrett confirmed that Bishop Dwenger is indeed playing in the 4A tournament this year. Go to wane.com, click on sports then click high schools. They also have footage of several Fort Wayne area scrimmages.

  4. Central looked very organized last night. Kid's hustling on and off the field, helping our kids off the ground etc. It looked WAY different from that perspective compared to years past.

  5. Key is to stay healthy and get a few reps. Castle and Memorials1st units had good moments and not so good moments. Looking forward to seeing if VL can carry some momentum from last year and take it to even another level. They have a good core to build around.

  6. I watched Floyd Central vs Charlestown. It’s always so hard to tell from these scrimmages because nobody really gameplans for each other. But if I were just throwing something at the wall, I’d say that our offense looked substantially better than it has been the past few seasons and defensively we have some things to work out with run defense. We have 4 starters back on the OL and it showed. They pretty much mowed down Charlestown and Robertson had all day to throw the ball. He threw some beautiful passes. Everything was right on the money. His go to guy Kaiser is 6”4 and has a lot of speed. He’s one of our basketball studs. They missed Bernardi last season but he looked like a machine running the ball against a 3A team. I thought we did well and had a lot of guys sitting out because of practice eligibility.

  7. WW at North Harrison. NH is not as big upfront as they have been in the past. They have a couple good backs, the Fessell kid is good. Offensively I thought we looked better than in the pre season 11-11's. Our line has some issues, but we have a lot of kids we can play up there if someone is having a bad night. Chase was solid at QB. McCoy and Cress will be hard to catch if they get enough blocking upfront. They are both fast and shifty. Good rotation of kids on offense, maybe the most depth at WW for sometime. Defensively, wasn't bad. Gibby always has put a good defense together and is great at making adjustments. Played a lot of kids on the line and look ok in the trenches. Linebacker play was pretty good and our secondary was real locked in with a couple interceptions. Scrimmages are deceiving, honestly i wish they would just schedule another game, but all in all, I believe we will be ok. On to Eastern Pekin on Friday!! Lowery will have them ready to play!

  8. I’ve wondered why the PC police haven’t come for them. But this is the origin of the nickname. It is a school battle cry that started during the 1940's indicating that members of the Glenville athletic teams would whack the "tar" and "blood" from its opponents. Thus, our colors are red and black.

  11. Just make it a intra squad scrimmage, you are not required to scrimmage another school.
