  1. Outstanding! I thought they had a fine game, including the replay official, Indiana’s own Kevin Brown.

  2. Maybe this will give us a reprieve for a couple of years from that “Mahomes is the G.O.A.T.” nonsense.

  3. It's not that difficult You speak proudly on you don't give any money directly to the NFL which means that the only NFL you watch if it's on your package that you choose to purchase or whatever cable provider you choose to do so and then so if you only want to watch a game, which means you do not invest much time in it until you only get little snippets of interneting NFL news through your own personal algorithm that is tracked throughout your existence. So if you think that the player in regards Trey Smith is not worth pursuing because of one game that you also only watched one half of that. I don't know what to tell you if that makes you Dolt so be it , my usage wasn't directed directly to you, just the general observation of many folks who just consume news or NFL news and just run with the first thing that they recently just saw as a fact instead of an uninvestigated opinion You choose to look down upon Bears fans like myself. For instance, who have openly suggested the Chicago Bears to engage in conversations to sign this coveted player who again had zero sacks over 18 games. I haven't looked at the stats from Sunday. I don't know if he is being credited for giving up a sack or not but let's say he gave up one sack or even two, that automatically means he's a poor player in your world? If so, that is a hard standard to live in in your world of sport. Oooof. It's cool. I just need to remember your stances are reactionary in nature and not seeded in any sort of deep thought or big picture landscape that I choose to absorb in my entertainment which in this case is NFL and the Chicago Bears

  4. I always remember the remark by Duane Thomas of the Dallas Cowboys, many years ago. "If this is the "ultimate game" why are they playing it again next year." Not a direct quote, but close enough. The SB has become another overblown event, imho.

  5. Actually maybe Jennings county would make more sense than Madison. Overall they would be closer for a lot of EIAC schools. EIAC 1: East Central Harrison (OH) Lawrenceburg Batesville Jennings County EIAC 2: Connersville Franklin County Greensburg Rushville South Dearborn Maybe this setup could work?

  6. Probably some truth to it, but not to extent of what that Podcaster is trying to portray, I find that hard to believe that the OC just said, nah, and left a rookie QB hanging......maybe Waldren prefer that position coaches did all the film work and the Waldren would cover stuff as a whole O unit in meeting, that is more plausible, but way all the articles are being written is to make Waldron look even worse, but perhaps that was his "method". Im a big fan of MOVING FORWARD, so more and more of those things I am paying no attention to: System in place, coaches in place, all look to be alingned vertically, time to go to work

  7. I believe Dick Dullaghan would slot in at about .843 or so if memory serves.

  8. I completely missed in the article that it said Talawanda had already found a conference. If Harrison were to be added, do you think the EIAC would be fine with an odd number of teams or do you think they would add another team just to even it out?

  9. I would agree with dropping the East Noble game, but I would keep the Warsaw game. I understand Indy area might give them better competitive look, but in recent years in the playoffs, Snider has struggled with option teams defensively. This gives them a chance to see it before they get to the playoffs and know how to prepare for it when the season isn't on the line. Just my two cents. They could upgrade that East Noble game tho.

  10. The better team won and if I had a vote for MVP it would go to the Eagles defense. They were outstanding all night. The one stat that the entire TV crew didn't mention, or mention much, was the Chiefs had only one first down the entire first half! But, of course, the MVP normally goes to the winning QB, and Jalen Hurts was equally outstanding. It was no fluke, as the Eagles scored 95 points in their last two games, and you're not going to lose much scoring 47.5 ppg. Halftime was mediocre, and the commercials were not the quality of days past.

  11. I say invite all four (Harrison, Mount Healthy, Northwest, and Talawanda). Put them in the big school division with East Central and Connersville. Lawrenceburg and Batesville go to the small school division. East Central could still schedule South Dearborn and Lawrenceburg in inter-divisional games and Roncalli in the non-conference. Still leaves another open spot in the schedule as well. My opinion doesn’t matter but I thought it was fun to think about.

  12. That was a not uncommon occurrence at Maconaquah H.S. during the days when Grissom was an active duty base. I can't remember how many kids only attended the school, and played sports for one, maybe two seasons, before a parent was transferred to another post. Or they came to the school as a senior and played for one season. Our starting RB my senior year was like that.

  13. The bullcrap most Teacher's Unions tried to pull during Covid is enough for me to have zero faith in that institution ever again. Not that I ever supported it in the least. Public sector labor unions should be illegal in the first place.

  14. As many like to say, follow the money. Some things to keep in mind as well: Multiple elected officials are looking to ease current laws regarding teenagers having jobs. Multiple States are looking at that as well. Arkansas passed a similar bill 2 years ago. The new graduation requirements dramatically increase the requirements regarding internships (free labor) for high school students. We have 1 intern coordinator in our building and she struggles to find places that will take interns here in Fort Wayne. Now the responsibility will fall to her to find placements for so many more. There are currently about 200 students in the program now. The high school has 1,100 students. So at some point, she will have to find something for most of them. One thing I forgot to add in my last post. The new State test is the SAT. Funny how a former person on the college board payroll to the tune of $100K per year is the speaker of the house in Indiana. The law requires that 95% of all juniors take the test. So, in our building the sped population is significant enough that our teachers of record and admins have to decide which students to throw under the bus and take the test, knowing they should not be. And people think it's the schools failing our students.

  16. Here's the issue with your take on accountability. The Statehouse refuses to hold voucher and charter schools accountable in any way. A charter school turns in false enrollment numbers, they get excused. State Board of Accounts calls into question the spending of a charter school, but the President of the company running it refuses to comply. The State recently tried to submit a bill that would set a max on administration salaries at 15% of the money the district gets from the State. What they found is less than a handful of districts would not be in compliance, so it was dropped. They also left out charter and private schools getting vouchers from that bill as they often do. Turned out that the charters in Allen county were all over 20% going to admins. One charter had 54% of the money they got going to admins. Keep in mind this is money that goes to the classroom and teacher salaries. No accountability there though. Voucher and charter schools can and do discriminate when admitting students. They get to choose who gets in and who stays. They get to set standards for students to remain in the school that they do not allow public schools to set. I saw a post with the recent outbreaks that a person posted please keep your kids home if they are sick, but 2 different replies said their own children who all get vouchers can only miss so many days in a year or they are asked to leave the school. Where's the accountability for that? When it comes to State testing, you know everyone loves to talk about how far behind kids are, BUT legislators allow charter and voucher schools to choose either growth or proficiency to be the key factor in school scores. Public schools are forced to use proficiency.....some accountability, huh? Just a few years ago, after courts had ordered that multiple charter school operators owed over $100 Million back to the State, the leaders in the Statehouse voted to excuse that debt. Accountability? Want public school accountability? Run for school board. What is taught in schools, even with the State Board of Education develops the standards for each subject, is still controlled locally. The budget for every district is completely open to the State and there is a multi step process to get anything approved in the budget. Also, ask your sped teachers what will happen when the DOE is eliminated. To think all that money comes back to the States is a pipe dream at best. But what about States like W. VA, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana who relay far more heavily on federal funding?

  17. With the changes to the ICC, Indy Lutheran had two additional non-conference weeks to fill. Significant adds for 2025 are games at 5A New Albany and hosting 5A McCutcheon. A week 3 game with Linton would be a good fit, but could also be week 14 matchup. Personally, while The Roy provides a great game environment, I absolutely HATE filming there!

  18. Jennings County and Madison should go to the Mid-Southern. To make room for this move Eastern and Salem would need to move to the Patoka Lake. East Central could become a football only member of the Hoosier Heritage with Shelbyville leaving in 2026.
