Northrop could get half of Luers' returners and I still don't see them being over .500. It's not a talent thing, they've had talent in the past and have still been in the basement with Southside. Even when Northside was seemingly sucking up all the talent in the Summit City the past few years, they haven't even been able to do much anything of note. Snider has the winning program with great coaches and culture. Luers has tradition and a storied program competing at a lower enrollment level. Homestead and Carroll are both strong programs and are only getting stronger, with the resources to pour everything they can into player development. Northrop has none of that. They've only beaten Snider, Homestead, Carroll and Dwenger TWICE combined since before their current players were born. It's gonna take a lot of work to make serious headway in this program, not just an athletic class of transfers.
As far as if Luers loses transfers, they'll probably still be above .500 and playing deep into November regardless.
