That is going to be a spirited conversation if, at some point, ND has to choose between abandoning the concept of the student-athlete and foregoing all that $$ with which the University does so much good. Lots of places will have that debate. But for most, the answer is easy. Not so at Notre Dame.2 points

The colts have been a tremendous partner with Indiana High School football and this is a very sad day reading this. Take away from the allegiances of my personal fandom, partnership between the Indianapolis colts and the Indiana High School football, IFCA, ihsaa is best in the NFL hands down. Truly Awful1 point

Over a year ago, I made the 5 year claim too. So there are 4 years left. I can see some things that accelerate the ending of it. No controls over agents are salaries......it's like Captain Edward Smith saying full steam ahead after hitting the iceberg.1 point

The ND-Michigan series was a great one, and I wish they still played. But it’s a mistake to compare it to the greatest intersectional rivalry in the history of college football. The Irish and Trojans have played every year since 1924, with the exception of a few years during WW II. More than twice as many times as ND has played Michigan. In terms of the way the schools feel about one another: no comparison.1 point
