I think he might be one of the best coaches in the country...........and he's doing it without the transfer portal. Man enough to say, "I coach my kids up, don't need to go elsewhere to make myself look good."

Clemson might be the best team in the country this year. They have one of, if not the most talented rosters on paper next year with potentially 6 first round draft picks. Will know out of the gate for sure as they open up with LSU. I think he could be even a better recruiter in the SEC.

Those children still have teammates and coaches they're bailing on. Expecting a 17 or 18 year old to have a little bit of decorum isn't that far fetched, imo.

Well, he's already against NIL and he's dubbed as a major contender for the national title. So there's that. Muda seems to spend a lot of time on a high school football forum talking about a game played by "children."

Freshman year, he was their KICKOFF Specialist.....he would kick it to the 5 yard line, then be the first one down there and basically attempt to just clotheline you the ground or some other wildly athletic but no idea how to play football move, then he was taught slowly and next thing you know by end of sophomore year, yeah....good luck. NIGHTMARE to try to play against calling offensive plays. Kudos to him, such a down to earth, humble man, still with his HS sweetheart even, I am sure he will take care of RDP in some capacity down the road !!! For coaching a 2a school I have had some talent across the field from me in over 2 decades, Jaylen Smith, (summer scrimmages against Martin Bros Chatard) Kiser, Karlaftis, Drayk Bowen, to less extent Cronk, Anthrop boys (those 3 didn't stick in NFL, I think Cronk still maybe bouncing around)

Toledo isn't far. Love the idea of Fort Wayne vs Toledo in high school football. That would be the bomb. Fort to Port. Komets vs Walleye...............it just makes sense.

Penn's program has been falling off a cliff. Last year after the Valpo game was just like poking yourself in the eye for pleasure. Elkhart while there has been big news, (and some concerns how they are doing it please refer back to last year's Mishawaka drama,) regarding new transfers coming in over the past two seasons, this program while not at the level of CP or Carroll in the True North is trending upward now. They are primed to take control of the NIC for the foreseeable future. Especially if Penn cannot right the ship. Look at it like buying stock...Elkhart in the North is a buy with promise. Penn is a sell.

No idea. Regardless, I’m certainly not going to second-guess the young man for making a decision based on whatever factors were important to him. And for the record, I abhor the “look at me” culture of young athletes today. But clearly, it’s simply reflective of that attitude in the non-athlete population as well. It’s a generational thing.

Nothing pathetic about a young man looking to maximize his opportunities.
