  1. Oh I agree it was a penalty...but glad official didn't swallow his whistle....

  2. Nice, hard fought win. A little justice to finish the game was nice.

  3. If someone had told me before the season started that our redshirt freshman led offense would score 64 pts. against 2 quality opponents, I’d have thought us a lock for 2-0. This defense is supposed to be elite. I guess we are finding out just how good a DC Al Golden was.

  4. Scrolling through harrells and being a more southern IN guy thought I'd give a couple shout outs to team who may not have been noticed yet. 1. Switzerland County Pacers. 4-0 for just 2nd time in school history and last night got first ever win against Milan. The school record is 6 wins but could see 8-1 season. Hugh test against North Decatur next week. Common for both is Milan both had similar scores. 2. Crawford County Wolfpack. 3-1 and lone loss is to above Pacers. Got first conference win in 10(!) Years and first ever win against Perry Central. Program started in 07 and this is only 2nd time they have seen 3 wins with school record being 4 in 2008. They have a decent chance to break that and maybe see schools first ever winning record. 3. Edgewood Mustangs. 4-0 and a win over what was 1A #1 South Putnam. Already the most wins since 2019 (8) which was also last time they beat Putnam. They won total of 4 games last 2 years. Probably more out there but find these stood out. Especially CC who is my conference. Good on these 3 teams and coaches getting a heck of a start on the season

  5. This needs to become a point of emphasis when the Eagles play. This is ridiculous how much they move before the ball does.

  6. the play calls at the end were interesting with the entire Denver D in the box.....very fortunate on the single flag at the end of the game

  7. I said as much a few months ago, and got obliterated by the "throng"...

  8. It doesn't have to make sense, it's the EVSC.

  9. 40 should be a winning score in 99% of football games, well that's a bit of an exaggeration, but it should be enough. There was absolutely no pass rush that I remember in the entire game. Give any passer time and they'll find an open receiver. I have already deleted that game. I didn't have the stomach to watch it again.

  10. They said one of their main reasons was they didn’t want the games to run late into the night. I know they weren’t too happy with Memorial making the Reitz/Memorial Sectional Championship at 7:00 pm back in 2023. And I think there were some issues with the Castle-Memorial game last year at Bosse Field.

  11. East Noble didn't have a "down game". They just ran into a team that had a lot of 'purpose' to show their internal fortitude with a fellow NE8 team that has a new HC that came from EN. There was/is a whole lot of underlying things that came into that contest. "Moral Victory" for DeKalb. Perhaps? (a) "Wake up call" for EN, definitely! In any case, this is great thing for the NE8 to have the teams that recently have been 'middling' actually being a force for those at the top to focus on, rather than a week off. HN over CC? that happened on Friday also.

  12. For what its worth, DeKalb seems to be up a little bit this year.

  13. Can't say I'm a fan of this new defensive coordinator. If I remember correctly, his resume wasn't even that impressive. What has he done to justify his salary? Don't feel like looking it up if you know off the top of your head.

  14. A much deserved Irish loss! 41-40 is the score and the Irish missed an extra point on their last TD and A&M scored with 13 seconds left and kicked the extra point. The officials did miss an obvious hold on the winning 4th down play. In fact the Notre Dame rusher was tackled, but no call. Two weeks to prepare for this game and the defense gives 'em 41! They brought it down the ramp to near the field, and then they transported the injured player on a cart to the ambulance than was in the stadium.

  15. No doubt in my mind that Snider is the underdog in both games

  16. I would have argued to exhaustion a few years ago. I was wrong, it doesn't seem to make any difference if you really dive deep into it.
