This youth coach was verbally complaining to the other coach about this behavior, while on the field. After a play the coaches confronted one another, again, on the field, and we are off to the races.

How are these 8-man games currently officiated? Are the refs members of the IFOA? Are a lot of them also IHSAA licensed officials, doing 8-man games "on the side"?

And since this will be for a major market team it will have to have certain things, like a dome or retractable roof. That is why the new stadium boondoggle in Buffalo was able to be built without a dome or retractable roof. Buffalo is too small a market to ever host a Super Bowl.

justafootballguy brought up Rossville, not I. A concerted effort to bring 11-man tackle football to Rossville as a JV/Varsity sport was made about 10 years ago. Organizers had even spun up a youth team, not affiliated with the school corporation, with the hope that once the school board saw there was sufficient interest they would ultimately approve a proposal. Well, that was shot down by the board and the youth team quietly folded not long afterwards. So the community did have the opportunity to decide for themselves, through their duly elected school board representatives. And their decision was NO.

And I can tell you from discussions with them over the years regarding Hornet athletics that tackle football, at any level, has the proverbial "snowballs chance in hell " of ever becoming reality.
