  1. Too bad the Westfield and Center Grove game can't be switched. Would be great way to open up the season with the two top teams in the state in 2020 (and nationally ranked) and most likely top fav in 2021. Carmel and Irish once had a pretty consistent schedule of playing each other...not sure how/why that went away. I do know always playing the GLC has been a prority.
  2. Way to early to think about next year, but given the circumstances of the 6 Indianapolis-area teams and what happened the last couple of days- wouldn't the following be a great way to kick off the 2021 season back at LOS opening weekend? Western Boone vs. Covenant Christian Bishop Chatard vs. Roncalli (both will be in 4A next year) Center Grove vs. Cathedral (both play each over next year anyway) Just thinking would be great to get these teams all together, at a time when hopefully we kicked Covid's ass and it would be one helluva start to 2021 season
  3. Cathedral does not offer tickets for sale for general public until Friday, maybe for that reason. However parents of football/cheer students are allowed to buy up to 6 tickets, and every parent I know is buying 6 tickets. If all hell breaks lose and Marion goes red I would assume all ticket sales would stop tomorrow and who has them by then are lucky ones. Agree, hope doesn't get to that point.
  4. Thanks - just posted this on another topic forum.
  5. Tomorrow Cathedral tickets are available for sale only for senior's and juniors parents (football / cheer only). Wednesday goes for sophomores / freshman Friday for students, staff, then general public for what is left.
  6. Thanks for that confirmation! Makes logical sense,
  7. I am not sure why it would be any different (i.e. allowing 12,500 fans per game) given the amount of time between games to clear out crowds. Plus the prime-time games 5A and 6A which usually draw the largest crowds are the last game of each respective night, so it is no huge rush clearing out the crowd after the game. And if someone wanted to get down to the science of it, since all seating is 'reserved' you can easily work the seat assignments thru ticketing to not allow the same seat to be sat in more than once!!!
  8. I assume they allow running clock even in state championship game? Reason I ask, if game gets out of hand both sides have more time / opportunity to play reserves on a big stage. I ask that, because I think the two prime-time games (i.e. 5A and 6A) will be very lopsided. Just hate to see a championship game end 75-90 minutes after kick-off which could be the case here. CG had state finals circled on calendar for a long time and they will be very, very prepared. Center Grove 56 Shamrocks 14
  9. Update from IHSAA: Site: Lucas Oil Stadium, 500 S. Capitol Avenue, Indianapolis | Website Tickets: $15 per person. All tickets this year are reserved seating, will be socially distanced and for one specific game only. Tickets may be purchased at participating schools. Contact schools for ticket distribution hours. Purchase tickets in advance through a participating school and $1 for every ticket sold will be reimbursed to that school. Any remaining tickets from the schools will go on sale at the Lucas Oil Stadium ticket office on gameday. Gates Open: Lucas Oil Stadium will open its gates to fans beginning at 10 am ET (one hour prior to kickoff of the first game) each day. Television: All six state championship games will air live on Fox Sports Indiana. Webstream: For viewers outside of the Fox Sports Indiana coverage area, a live stream will be available at IHSAAtv.org. For those within the FSI coverage area, the stream will be available only on delayed basis following the conclusion of the telecast. Radio: Each game will be broadcast on affiliates of the IHSAA Champions Network. Determining Home Team: Decided by coin flip between coaches at Monday meeting before IHSAA state finals. Official Football: The Wilson 1003 GST, the official football of the IHSAA state tournament, will be used
  10. It sounds like you are disappointed that Cathedral did not try to run up the score? I am sorry, but they don't tend to embrace that practice on anyone.
  11. Congrats to both teams making championship game, and love it is the coveted prime-time spot on Saturday.
  12. I think they did a pretty good job from what was released. In fact, what could have they done better?
  13. Just posted: Friday, Nov. 27 11 am ET | Class 2A State Championship Fort Wayne Bishop Luers (8-6) vs. Western Boone (10-4) 3 pm ET | Class 4A State Championship Hobart (11-2) vs. Roncalli (12-1) 7 pm ET | Class 6A State Championship Westfield (12-1) vs. Center Grove (13-0) Saturday, Nov. 28 11 am ET | Class A State Championship South Adams (13-0) vs. Covenant Christian (14-0) 3 pm ET | Class 3A State Championship Indianapolis Bishop Chatard (12-1) vs. Danville (11-0) 7 pm ET | Class 5A State Championship Zionsville (7-5) vs. Indianapolis Cathedral (12-1)
  14. When will schedule be released? I would think regarding Zionsville / Cathedral and Center Grove/Westfield being two local Indianapolis-area teams, both would be awarded prime-time spots (i.e. 7PM Friday / Saturday)
  15. Lots of reserves playing on defense starting 3Q
  16. We will be +100 penalty yards before game over though.
  17. Irish yards - 376 / Castle 23 at halftime.
  18. Okay I know there is no such thing as stupid questions just stupid people...so let me be stupid for a moment. Do the live streams also have audio? I am worried if no audio and I tune into the Fox Sports / Cathedral radio network the audio over radio will be about 3 seconds ahead of stream. Maybe I need to shut up and drink more beer and just relax.
  19. I am staying home too....given the above. It this was normal year, would totally make the trip, tailgate, watch the game, then head downtown Evansville to do some riverboat gambling and spend the night in hotel before driving home next morning. Damn you Covid!
  20. I would be very VERY surprised if attendance to the game will be be open to others besides players, coaches and parents given the new Covid numbers just released to day for the state. If all things normal, I would have driven down and stayed night and back next morning. Irish 49 Castle 10
  21. Off to Evansville! I don't know much about Castle, other than Maxpreps has them ranked #8 and they are sitting for the season at 8-3. I think it is impressive they only allowed 105 points all year - or avg of 9.5 per game including their losses. They put a beat-down on Jeffersonsville last night 49-7.
  22. I assume you are sarcastic.
  23. Three passing attempts, and one was intercepted.
  24. Looks like 25% capacity, effective 11/15.
  25. I am not sure how this applies to high school football....unless they consider it a 'community rec sport league'? and player personnel and parents only? Or is considered K-12 extracurricular event and 25% capacity? Either way it sucks.
