  1. Except you won't be able to send me a link for that because Buzea literally didn't say that lmao. You took the QB's quote and added the stuff about Merrillville being 'more talented' and how they 'don't want to see them again'. I mean jeez man if you're going to make stuff up don't make it easily disprovable with a 30 second google search. Gonna have to do better than that to fool me. Honestly it's just completely pathetic that you tried to make a quote up just to make yourself feel better. And Merrillville WAS extremely overrated the past 3 years, and they got their butts thoroughly kicked every time they had a shot to prove otherwise. Merrillville going further than CP in an extremely weak 5A would be nothing to be proud of.
  2. National studies tell us natural grass IS safer. Just because you claim at your school it hasn’t been doesn’t mean it isn’t. How about you tell all the many more players that have been injured on turf that it’s safer than grass just because you think it has been at your specific school.
  3. Anecdotal evidence vs studies done by medical professionals… Wonder which is better
  4. LMAO that's literally the QB's quote from the NWI Times article, and you added the stuff about not wanting to see them again. I ask again, do you live in a fantasy world?
  5. I think we've finally cracked the code on why the Catholic schools are so successful
  6. Except they've done studies specifically focused on high school and found the exact same thing.
  7. You won't get an argument from me on how the DAC should be one of the best conferences. It should be at worst 4th (I don't think its unreasonable to accept that the SAC will be better some years, especially starting next year with the big school division). If I had to do a top 25, without copping out and doing ties (because I think some of these teams are extremely close), it would look something like this: 1. Roncalli 2. Carroll 3. CP 4. Chatard 5. Snider 6. Merrillville 7. North Side 8. Reitz 9. Brebeuf 10. Whiteland (I know they just lost to Martinsville, still think they're the best in the Mid-State) 11. Martinsville 12. Franklin 13. Mooresville 14. Dwenger 15. Homestead 16. Valpo 17. Memorial 18. Castle 19. Decatur Central 20. Lake Central 21. Vincennes 22. Mater Dei 23. Chesterton 24. Michigan City 25. Leurs
  8. Except he doesn’t say that in the times and there is no region sports interview nor post tribune article. Jesus man do you live in a fantasy world?
  9. Yes, we all know that Sagarin cannot compare closed conferences until they play noncon opponents. That doesn't explain why two closed conferences are being treated so differently. This just shows the problem has been ongoing. The fact that it was reversed last year makes it even more bizarre.
  10. Where did Buzea say that? Please provide a source. I'm waiting. Also, that "overhyped" team man-handled your Pirates 27-6 in the second half of that game.
  11. Like I said, the conference is down this year. Still think you're being a little unfair though, the past 3 years before this you could make a strong case that the DAC was a top-3 (AT WORST 4th) conference in the state. The DAC lacks depth this year but I'm still not convinced it doesn't have the top 2 out of the Mid-State, SIAC, and SAC (side note, I think you're underrating the Circle City here). We'll see as I think there's a good shot the top 2 in the DAC and SAC will meet in the playoffs.
  12. Using different data points would seem to contradict the whole purpose of the Sagarin Ratings to begin with. If teams aren't being judged on the same criteria, how useful are they?
  13. Yes, that has been established. But then why are two unconnected conferences rated so wildly differently? They should either both be overrated or both underrated. One being overrated and the other underrated doesn't make any sense.
  14. I just don't understand how simultaneously one closed conference is overrated while the other is underrated. The ratings should deal with both in the same way. This makes it seem like there is a hole in the system.
  15. This year it is. Still think overall it is one of the better conferences in the state.
  16. I believe this has been discussed before, but does anyone have any idea why the Sagarin Ratings seem to have such a discrepancy dealing with the SAC and the SIAC? Both are closed conferences, but Sagarin seems to overrate the SIAC while underrating the SAC. For example, taking the teams currently leading each conference, Reitz is rated #9 overall in the state (and 1st in the predictor), while Carroll is 50th in the state and #74 in the predictor. Does this make sense to anyone?
  17. Not sure what you mean because CP could easily be getting further than regionals with a much harder path to get there. Merrillville has a JV sectional and every potential regional opponent is in the midst of a down year, if they don't win regionals that would honestly just be pathetic. Also, with the way Merrillville anointed themselves 5A state champs before the season even started, they better win the whole thing. If not, they'll have badly embarrassed themselves for the third year straight. As @temptation put it "From 'best in state' to second best in conference".
  18. They were without their starting RB but I assure you that would not have made any difference. CP completely dominated that game in the second half and honestly the first half too even though it was only 14-7 going into the break. Thinking Valpo was going to beat them then lose to Merrillville was a pipe dream.
  19. Bowen had 203 rushing & 3 tds last night. A sack and multiple tfls. Carried the team. Kids special.
  20. There’s sour grapes to be found all over the country. Keep blaming those “dead weight” kids though…very classy.
  21. Andrean up 24-17 on Hobart at the end of the third
