  1. Not sure I’m following. I was assuming you were referring to kicking a FG after a fair catch or awarded fair catch.
  2. It’s not considered an awarded fair catch. R is merely awarded the ball.
  3. @coachmayi know you guys are often looking for frosh games.
  4. I had several issues that all seem to favor the home team. Visiting coach is a guy I’ve had a relationship with, I was honest, and we moved on. He won the game by two scores also helped.
  5. Had a nice conversation with the AD last night. You just root for guys like that.
  6. That was not an option last night. Only when forced to.
  7. Along the same lines last night I was working a throw together crew in a JV game. H throws his flag straight up in the air just after the ball is snapped. A 1/10 runs 11 yards. I stop the clock and go to the H, he’s got B lined up in the neutral zone. My options are: A) Go back to the original LOS and mark off 5 yards and replay the down. B) Wave it off. C) Give the signal and decline it. A’s not fair in my opinion. B’s probably the easiest. C seems most reasonable to me because it covers what happened and doesn’t penalize A for our mistake. It’s also going to be the most confusing when I give the signal. What do you do?
  8. Scheduling software is not without its own issues. Bottom line communication is a necessity. Ultimately that’s on the home AD.
  9. Seriously Tundra, seems to be a different vibe at JC, no idea the inner workings, but there seems to be some good things going on. Hopefully the Panthers are putting the pieces together.
  10. When you start digging into federal programs for housing, poverty, medical they are rife with this sort of thing. Look at the subsidized housing programs, a handful of companies get rich, and the need for housing continues to grow.
  11. Is there a possibility they declined the penalty to get the ball? Possibly the WH didn’t know/offer loss of down aspect? MS games are a good place for young officials learning or trying new positions.
  12. Nothing, just not a fan. Not like I wasn’t rooting like hell for him last year. I’m currently between drivers, HUGE Kimi fan just kind of wondering about aimlessly right now. If the Scuderia would just get someone….
  13. Tell me about it! And when crews do what they’re explicitly told to do, people are posting on the internet about it. I am trying a new tact, I’m emailing both coaches and cc’ing the AD’s on Monday introducing myself and the crew and reiterating all relevant information that was shared with head coach and white hats in the in person meetings. I’m not sure if it’s made any difference yet or not, but we seem to get a little less resistance when we send kids off during warm ups.
  14. We're talking about HIGH SCHOOL Football right?
  15. Per several of the AD’s you’re talking about.
  16. Not happening in the foreseeable future.
  17. Another aspect, and actually the reason I’m hearing for not using it, the kids have to be supervised. Uniform players ONLY are allowed in the extended zone. No team personnel, trainers, coaches, etc. With that in mind my guess is you have team boxes in part to contain the players and thus limit supervisors. I would also assume at some point those ringside seats were for sale. It would make sense to limit the team’s area. Purely a guess on my part.
  18. It was extended to the 10’s in 2020 for social distancing. It has been added to the rule book per state adoption. Nothing has really chances other than it’s now in the rule book.
  19. There’s a back story to the FB vid that was making the rounds Saturday. I was in no way involved, I was getting in plenty of trouble on my own.
  20. Home team’s option. My guess is schools that dress 100 kids would use it.
  21. I was at Greensburg for a meeting a couple of weeks ago, amazing to me with the facilities they have, they have that field.
  22. In my experience historically it’s handled in pregame. Today we have email. An email to coaches and AD’s, listing known differences. For instance KY has adopted extended team boxes period, in Indiana it’s the home team’s discretion, and in four weeks no one has used it.
  23. Will this include a set of chains that are 10 yards long?
  24. Roncalli does not use the extended team box, that was confirmed with the AD yesterday.
