Jerry Hanger one of the most hospitable AD’s in the state. Side note should be a decent game for both teams. Good luck.

I feel you.

NFL is currently over exposed. Obviously they’ll have huge numbers next weekend. Not so sure NCAA isn’t far behind.

It makes the rounds on FB every fall usually in a youth game…..when it works. My guess is it gets shut down more often than we think, that never makes the YouTube highlight reel.

Dead Snap or Spiral Snap?

Depending on what position I may be working on any given night, trust me I pay a LOT of attention. -
Dead Snap or Spiral Snap?
Impartial_Observer replied to hhpatriot04's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
I would venture to guess most teams snap it like this. Probably started about the time the rules changed which allowed it, 25-30 years ago. -
Salem beat Scottsburg in JV Saturday morning. No clue what the score was, I just need a winner, I left.

This has long been a contention of mine. Colleges have six days to play games. WHY DO THEY PLAY ON FRIDAY NIGHTS? When Louisville was basically transitioning from a mid-major to a National player, they utilized these week night games to add looks and to bring in cash. I worked two games in the area during these Friday night games and the local high schools take a HUGE hit. HS have four maybe five nights a year to make their nut, and colleges taking one of those nights away is inexcusable in my opinion. I’ve spent the last 40 years of my life trying to help/give back/grow, however you want to say it to this game that means so much to so many, only to watch the colleges trample on it. Colleges and universities, Disney, Fox, ABC, etc, Friday nights should be off limits! I’ll go one step further, I refuse to watch or listen any college games on Friday night. I realize it’s of no consequence to anyone, but given the current state of affairs, I think it’s time to take a stand. HS Football is TOO IMPORTANT.

Talked to a guy that was there, he said JC just needs about 4-5 more guys to get people off the field. Too many guys playing both ways. JC also ran into the same situation many mediocre teams do against NA, NA just out athleted them. Perhaps there is light at the end of the tunnel for the Panthers, I worked there twice last week and they scored 3 W’s in the games I worked. Beat Seymour in 7th and 8th on Tuesday night, and beat Batesville in a C game on Thursday. Don’t have a clue on any of the scores, hell I’m doing good to just remember who was playing by the time I get home. Understand I’m an official and I really could give two shits who wins or loses any game, I’m not going to lie, it put a smile on my face to see the Panthers have a little success. The kids seemed genuinely excited in the MS games. Good for them, I don’t think we can label this as JC’s turn around, but when you have a tradition and culture of losing, and you’re trying to change that you have to focus on little battles and little wins that you build into bigger battles and wins. -
I did confer with wing L and U, but everyone in the stadium knew the pass didn’t make the NZ, trust me, I’m not splitting hairs.

I had my first int.grounding call last week, gun, snap over the QB’s head, look out blocking scheme, QB threw the ball about 20 yards behind the LOS right into the ground 15’ in front of him. That’s a 25 yard foul AND loss of down. THAT’S HARSH!

Ehhh, the wheels kind of fell off last year after the East game, but they were still a play away from being sectional champs. Get better this week. -
The Joe Biden Presidency Thread
Impartial_Observer replied to swordfish's topic in OOB v2.0's OOB Forum
He’s been on the velocity thing for a while now, I think that’s how 9mmLuger came into the conversation, given +P loads, bullet technology, etc. When examining wound cavities, Chanel’s, tissue damage, etc., there are many factors aside from velocity. Anyone else remember when hollow points were labeled “cop killers” and there was this massive push to ban them….only to find out they’re actually much safer to bystanders than FMJ or ball ammo, not so much the target, but we were trying to stop him right? It just goes on and on, new scary buzz words/terms, ghost guns are back….just in time for Halloween….. -

So would ol Joe rather get shot with a slow moving .45? I mean at around 850-1000 FPS at the muzzle, it should be safe by Biden’s speed analysis right? I mean the fact that one’s a 40 grain round and the other one is 250 wouldn’t matter would it? I think he’s missing the other part of Einstein’s equation. -

Late 90’s early 2000’s. It became apparent early on Jackson County would not be able to supply the workforce needs of local industry that Jackson County Development Corp was bringing in. Within about a year of WalMart DC opening up, a manager told me we have approximately 100 new hires starting every week and we have people from 7 different counties. Cummins runs two buses a day from Greenwood and Whiteland bringing people to CIC. Which really sticks in my crawl when you look at the 10’s of millions they receive in grants and abatements, but that’s another conversation. As I understand it a majority of the immigrants we have now are Guatamalan. Early on they were Mexicans, and the Guatemalans and the Mexicans don’t necessarily play well together. I have heard estimates from locals, police, city hall, school officials, my wife, who say that anywhere from 30%-60% are illegal. I frequent several Hispanic establishments, my experience is they are good hard working people just trying to raise a family just like the rest of us. Without getting in the weeds, that’s kind of the situation, hey it always boils down to socioeconomic issues right, and while Seymour is doing well, it doesn’t necessarily translate to W’s on the Gridiron. -

Seymour just 13 miles away faces another set of problems. There is a very real chance they will be 6A in the not too distant future. Several construction sites going now and more in the works. If trends hold true Seymour would have an enrollment nearly 50% Hispanic and close to 35% non-English speaking. And while the options as far as Hispanic groceries and Mexican Restaurants have exploded around town, I’m not sure these numbers are conducive to success in the Gridiron or test scores in the spring. -

FYI Darwin has a giant math problem that even he couldn’t solve. Since Darwin published his work, we have discovered many new technologies, most notably in Darwin’s case DNA. My point was Darwin based everything on 19th Century data, new technologies have merely exacerbated his math problem. Darwin is wrong because his data is old and outdated. -

Sure, Darwin’s still making a living with 200 year old data.
