Heard the umpire was involved in a collision at the Seymour/Jeff game and was taken off the field in an ambulance. The picture I saw showed the ambulance right on the field. We lost a LJ many moons ago to a broken leg at Carmel one night, post game meals out of a vending machine at the ER are not a good time.

Speaking of Sullivan County, why do the school corporations there have such unusual and inefficient footprints?
C’mon man it’s Football season, save it for December thru July.

Can someone tell me if this week's Seymour vs Jeffersonville game is going to count in the conference standings? The other six teams are only playing six conference opponents and are using week 2 for non-conference games. Seymour and Jeffersonville are each playing seven conference opponents. There can't possibly be an imbalanced schedule can there?
This game will not count in the conference standings.

AUSTIN — The North Texas man who confessed to carrying out the mass shooting at an El Paso Walmart earlier this month told law enforcement he purchased his gun from overseas, according toThe Texas Tribune.
In a Texas Department of Public Safety report obtained by the Tribune, Patrick Crusius said he bought the AK-47 he allegedly used in the shooting from Romania and had it shipped to a gun retailer near his home in Allen. Crusius also said he purchased 1,000 rounds of ammunition from Russia.
Authorities in El Paso have said Crusius, 21, purchased his AK-47 legally. About 9,000 semi-automatic rifles were imported from Romania last year, the Tribune reports, with online buyers in the U.S. required to go through a federal background check. Texas law allows ammunition to be purchased online and shipped directly to the buyer's home.
In the DPS report, the suspect also underscored his previous statements that he targeted Hispanic shoppers, according to the Tribune. Crusius said he was surprised no one stopped him after the shooting. He called 911 after the incident, he added, and said he was unable to reach a dispatcher before he returned to the Walmart to surrender and was arrested by Texas Rangers.
The shooting left 22 people dead and dozens injured. Crusius faces capital murder charges, and the crime is being investigated as a possible hate crime.
HOLD THE PHONE>>>>!!!? Background checks are supposed stop this from happening.......RIGHT? This guy HAD a background check.....How are MORE BG checks gonna change this?
Clearly fake news, we've been told repeatedly by not only the former president and other polls, but the talking heads on TV that we can purchase guns online and have them delivered to our homes.
With good deals on 1000 round purchases, why is this news? A LOT of people buy 1000 round lots to save money, particularly in 7.62x39 and 5.56/.223 rounds. If you shoot much at all, this just makes sense.

ART. 5 . . . Enforcement of penalties for unsportsmanlike, nonplayer or dead-ball fouls:
a. Penalties for dead-ball fouls, other than when both teams commit unsportsmanlike, nonplayer or dead-ball personal fouls prior to the completion of penalty administration for those fouls, are administered separately and in the order of occurrence. A dead-ball foul is not coupled with a live-ball foul or another dead-ball foul to create a double or multiple foul.
b. If both teams commit unsportsmanlike, nonplayer or dead-ball personal fouls prior to the completion of penalty administration for those fouls, the distance penalty for an equal number of 15-yard unsportsmanlike, nonplayer or dead-ball personal fouls will offset. Any remaining penalties will be enforced separately and in the order of occurrence.
c. A disqualified player or nonplayer shall be removed.

Having recently taken a trip to Jamaica I think incoming from Jamaica are targeted. We all know what Jamaica is known for, after going thru immigration and customs, we had to go back thru TSA. This is like a stand alone deal in Orlando, that seemed a LOT more intrusive than standard TSA. I was escorted back to the room while some big burly dude got really familiar with me. I never had a problem with metal detectors until the last year or so, now all of the sudden I set every TSA detector off that I go thru.
Bottom line, the dude in the article was wronged, I think he should be compensated. Not sure why in the hell anyone would be traveling with honey, but whatever.

I went up to the Official, stated that I was going to be putting #13 at Center for the last 8 mins of a JV game, He was ok with it, he then went to the opposing coach to let them know, they were ok with it. We moved forward to finish the game.
If a kid played 8 quarters in a week that is a violation.
I can tell you in my 16 years coaching JV games, when I see quarter rules broken, I do exactly NOTHING. I could care less. Not my monkey, not my circus. We at Rensselaer choose to NOT break the quarter rule.
Two separate issues here. Using #13 at center in a lower level game, at least in our area, we usually give teams some latitude with numbers. Particularly in JV/frosh games when available personnel might be an issue. Make sure both coaches are aware, and lets play some football.
On the quarter issue, as Bob stated, we have no jurisdiction over that. I often hear coaches complain about it, and I tell them there's nothing I can do about that. @Coach Nowlin I appreciate your sentiments, and pretty much feel the same way, but knowing this is going on is really disappointing to me. Lets call it what it is, it's cheating, what else are they cheating at? Is your integrity really worth a W on the JV schedule?

A has four downs from B's 10. A1 and B1 are ejected. Fouls offset.

Gotchu. I just find it funny that some R's will hop all over Biden's gaffes but not Trump's who are arguably just as bad or worse.
No kidding, imagine if he’d spelled potato wrong.

I love Wikipedia--it got me through grad school. According to that website, a miller is one who mills flour...
Actually I knew most of it. I have driven past the Jug Rock since I was a kid with my parents and grand parents, I've heard the story a thousand times.
I learned about Clarksville in MS history.
I would still suggest contacting @Lysander in the early morning hours.....ask him about any subject, it's certain to be entertaining.

Assume Clarksville Generals take their name from George Rogers Clark. The city of Clarksville was part of the “Clark Grant” as was most of Clark and Floyd Counties.
Floyd Central Highlanders, assuming because they are the shining beacon on top of the hill.
Being born, raised, and lived in Seymour all my life, I don't know the story behind our mascot. Though they don't have Football, Muncie Burris's mascot is also Owls. As I have pointed out many times, Owls are ferocious raptors.
My dad was a graduate of Rockville, and he never knew the point of their mascot being the Rox.
Shoals has the largest free standing table rock formation east of the Mississippi, named the Jug Rock. I've never seen it, but I've seen the sign flash by on 50 as I drive someplace else.
As far as the Millers of Noblesville, I would ask @LysanderI'd wait until the early morning hours.

I’m not sure what this means? They didn’t have a foul so they wouldn’t have anything to report?
It was hypothetical, suppose they did.

On another note, as I understand it, this was played in Cincinnati. Assuming you used Indiana officials, are officials obligated to fill out reports on games played out of state?

Update on the official last night at Jeff. He dislocated and fractured his ankle. He had surgery this morning to repair it. Seymour trainer who attended to him prior to medical personnel arriving said it was gruesome. Hopefully he heals quickly.
