  4. I stepped away from coaching in 1985 because of greater job demands.... I had coached as a lay coach from 1978 to 1985. When I retired in 2017, I decided to get back into coaching full time because I was bored with retirement. I had coached various youth league teams on a part time basis between 1985 and 2017; however, I digress. I thought it would be better if I was an in the building coach so I went back to school at the ripe old age of 65 to obtain my Professional Educators License. This marks my fifth season at the secondary level as a coach of two sports. With all the ups and downs it has been a journey.... it keeps me young!

  10. I think it would be interesting to expand the search to the last 25 years, 30 years, 35 years, and 40 years. This would give an indication of trends, regions, and conferences, and sectionals. Of course all of these variables change.
  11. When you replace Bobref with a robot please call me. I don't think his personality could be engineered into a robot.
  12. He would have transferred to... The Duluth School of the Inept. DIII
  13. Your roomie was pulling your leg... George Earle, one of the founding fathers named it after his brother Hobart. The Earles were from Europe, what part not sure, H-O-B-A-R-T was pronounced H-O-B-E-R-T in the old country. I was told this by a lady at the Hobart Historical Society back in 1993, when I moved here.
