I think it would be interesting to expand the search to the last 25 years, 30 years, 35 years, and 40 years. This would give an indication of trends, regions, and conferences, and sectionals. Of course all of these variables change.
Your roomie was pulling your leg... George Earle, one of the founding fathers named it after his brother Hobart. The Earles were from Europe, what part not sure, H-O-B-A-R-T was pronounced H-O-B-E-R-T in the old country. I was told this by a lady at the Hobart Historical Society back in 1993, when I moved here.
Not only was it built on a landfill, Duck Creek was rerouted from a NW to SE diagonal across the field to a path around and under the visitors bleachers. That's why when Duck Creek flows out of its banks the field is flooded.
Ok, that is a solid argument.... the roster at Hobart has had more Montez, Flores, Guterrez, Torres, Washington, Jefferson, Smith, Brown than 20 years ago. So what is your opinion on the demographic shift ?
There was a guy that used to write this way on RSN many years ago... drove most of the posters nuts. It was kind of fun to try and read some of the posts. I took a real skill to follow the posts.
