Harbaugh’s Hands Caught in Cookie Jar
Bash Riprock replied to Bash Riprock's topic in The Next Level
Nah....a confident adult man doesn't need to talk when he wins. The scoreboard does that for him. He understands he needs to teach his kids much more than X's and O's. Its understood that his actions mean more than his words and the need to be humble. Can't imagine Tony Dungy or one from his coaching tree acting in that fashion. Based on your philosophies, I am thankful you never coached my children. As an ultimate "homer", you will justify anything if its your team. Making him the "victim" just like Jimmy. You are consistent...will give you that. -

Nothing like a coach being a mature “leader of men”. Didn’t think it was possible to dislike a program more than OHIO…. -
I believe Carroll and Center Grove start a multiple year series next year. Looking forward to those 2 teams playing in the regular season.

Temp’s Top 25 (Week 15)

I didn't take your comments negatively...just seeking to understand and having some good discussion. I agree with you...a tough schedule takes it toll. That's why I am not much into transitive property stuff. Thus my comment about playing a similar opponent at the beginning of the season vs. a season elimination game are not one in the same. Good, fun discussion! Congrats on the state championship...one heck of a run!!! -

Temp’s Top 25 (Week 15)
Bash Riprock replied to temptation's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Snider played WC opening game of the season..CG played WC as a well known opponent very late in the season. That’s not much to make comparisons. How does one know if they have a shutdown D, if they don’t play the toughest opponents? CG played a way tougher schedule than Snider. But hey, fun to be hypothetical. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. -

Why would you place Snider over CG? CG and BD played to OT in the semistate...BD kicked a FG near end of regulation to force OT. Are you saying Snider can play even with BD if you believe they should be ranked over CG? CG's schedule was stacked full of very quality teams, many of them out of state. Snider could have matched their record all season long? Just wanting to understand your rationale. -
I struggle with the scenario that Oregon gets a free pass for losing to Washington in the regular season. Now if they beat them 2nd time around, sounds like it’s automatic that they are in. The key is to lose early I guess…

I’d like to see them get Wazzu’s head coach Jake Dickert. Bring the Wisconsin boy back to the Midwest. Perhaps Iowa State’s Matt Campbell

anyone shocked this was done during the season? I assumed his salary was too high given his current performance....but thought he would at least finish this season. No takers I guess for a trade given his injury and performance with his current contract.

HCC/MIC Week #14

you certainly don't like to be challenged do you. You hate it that there on a few on this forum that gets fed up with your constant "know it all attitude" You weren't in the stands all those years. So you don't know. You have no idea how hard that coaching staff and those kids worked to SUSTAIN an incredible level of performance. You were NOT there in the stands during the 5A years to see the type of teams like Columbus East, Columbus North, Bloomington South, Franklin Central, etc. brought in with outstanding coaches. Most people that have competed on an athletic field think twice before diminishing a team's long period of success and even worse, diminish and insult the programs said team competed against. Most that compete learn to respect their opponents. But you are an "expert" because you can look at scores and drawn steadfast conclusions. You've invested nothing, sit a million miles away, and diminish accomplishments that other posters on this forum acknowledge, because at the end of the day, you simply can't stop your fingers from pecking away. As JMV would say, "pure jacka$$ery". And yes, any adult that diminishes what kids accomplish and programs they compete against absolutely does need to "get a life". -

Just funnin'. I did think it was interesting that he picked his #3 team over his #1 team. Typically, if a person picks a team at #1, they stick with them come game predictions. -

Article about Harbaugh's 2024 future also in the Detroit Free Press....if this is a strong possibility, I assume he would absolutely bolt to the NFL if given the opportunity. https://www.freep.com/story/sports/college/university-michigan/wolverines/2023/11/19/jim-harbaugh-suspended-2024-michigan-football-coach-sign-stealing/71645594007/ -

CG and BD just played a classic game that came down to the razor's edge. If EC is ranked over CG, might as well rank them #1 over BD. -
HCC/MIC Week #14
Bash Riprock replied to temptation's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Sure they had some easy victories in sectionals. You don't think schools like WC, BD, Carmel and others didn't have them as well? But there were some very tough games in those sectionals over those same years and a couple of sectionals that CG did not win. You can print all the picked stats you wish. I was in those stands over the periods and saw some tough sectional games, including a couple of heartbreakers. For any program to be built since Coach Moore arrived and to SUSTAIN that type of performance says something. You can discredit all the opponents they've played all you wish. Just speaks to your character. You need a life dude....way too much time on your hands and give over the "kid always pick last syndrome". Move on. -

You simply can’t help yourself, can you? You recently posted correctly on another thread CG’s difficulty last year getting past FC in the sectional on the way to their third straight 6A title. Some of us actually were in the stands watching our kids play during this 18 year window and we know CG wasn’t lighting every team up by 4 TD’s during those sectionals, especially during many of the 5A years. We watched a number of outstanding games. John Harrell provides a great archive of historical results. Check it out before going wild on your keyboard.
