    Soccer people are desperate for US men's soccer to be competitive world wide, which I personally doubt it will ever be. US pro soccer has decent followings, but the question in my mind is will it be sustainable. I think this particular project is a bit too ambitious.

    Eh, I don't know, man. I didn't give it a Warren Commission type of analysis, but it looks to me like there was plenty of room for coach to lead his team off the court and stay out of the students.

    I know nothing about this CG - Carmel situation, but I personally don't believe the IHSAA has any business involving itself in scheduling. Sounds as though this might be a great opportunity for CG to look to IL, KY and OH teams.

    Bosse's turf has 13 seasons of wear and definitely needs to be replaced. Harrison's turf is a little newer (maybe 2011?) and gets a little less wear, so they might be able to get a few more years out of it. I guess there might be some savings having the same company do two at the same time...

    I saw somewhere that KC resodded Arrowhead between the Raiders game (Jan 7) and the Divisional game with the Jags. And it still looked pretty chopped up last week.

    I'm not as closely involved now as I was back then, but the 2018 and 2019 classes were pretty deep. I know we don't have anyone like Combs (X2) and Lindauer, but if we have some guys in the wings like Goodwin, Merrimee, Jones, Falkenstein, Warner, etc., then we will be fine.

    As much as I'd like to say otherwise, I think 2023 will be a rebuilding year at Memorial. There will be a lot of bodies to replace (especially in the trenches) and I don't think we have all that much beef in the younger groups. I think 2024 will find the Tigers back in Sectional 32 with our friends from the PAC (and maybe with MD if they can win a Regional in 2023).

    Reitz hasn't won a Sectional since 2016. By comparison, since then Mater Dei has a state title, 2 Semi-States, 3 Regionals and 4 Sectionals, Memorial has won 2 state titles, 3 Semi-States, 4 Regionals, and 5 Sectionals, and Castle has won 3 Sectionals and 2 Regionals.

    I don't see Fish being "all in" over the summer because of baseball, but I have heard that (at least at this point) he is planning on playing football next season. Hurley is not one to mince words, so I expect Bryant had a clear understanding of the situation. MD would also seem to be a place in need of a QB. LOL. Not really knowledgeable and definitely far too old to sit and watch an outdoor camp in January.

    Hard to imagine a facility upgrade that is needed more than at Washington. Congrats to the Hatchets.
