Thank you. I said south of Indy. Those are all in Indy. SR has played 3 p/p's several times. HH did it once in 2003. -

Well, there aren't many to run up against - only 3 p/p football schools South of Indy - Memorial (now 4A) and Mater Dei & Providence (both 2A). -

Oh boy... -
I think "punished" is the wrong word. At this point under any scenario (2yr/4yr cycle) we would be in 4A so it is what it is. While it will be a challenge for Memorial to consistently compete in the 4A tournament having less than 600 students, it is a good problem to have and sure beats the alternative.

I love clearing the smoke from his six-shooters in front of the stands...... -
I agree. The success of LCC, Chatard, & Cathedral was the biggest factor..

That is remarkable.

EM is very lucky to call Enlow Field our home. It is particularly nice when Mother Nature graces the game with rain bc the home side is covered so fans are more inclined to come out knowing they don't have to sit in rain all night. Are there any other IN HS fields/stadiums that have covered seating? I'm not aware of any...

in 2017, it was raining cats and dogs, so instead of tailgating our folks all met at a Mexican restaurant just north of the Danville campus. I wasn't there bc I was helping with pregame stuff but everyone said the margaritas were very good. Don't remember the name of the place though.... HCTB - La Hacienda is the place. Sorry, I didn't read the other posts.... -
LOL. Keeping the nose clear was a challenge for me Friday night too... In the 4th Q, I think Mooresville should have kicked the FG to cut it to 14-10. Things were rolling for them. Of course, a TD would have been huge too. QB made a great pass on the failed 4th down try, and WR laid out but just couldn't hang onto it. Great effort all the way around. As for the questions, I'm biased, but I thought the roughing the QB was pretty obvious. The flag on the coach is going to depend on the color of your M. The break in action was probably a contributing factor. He ended up out between the hash marks and IMO the refs gave him ample chance to get himself back to the sideline and calmed down. But I can see how the other side would be angry. It was a huge call and put EM into FG range. I saw a hold too. I think refs miss holding calls all the time. I thought EM #6 and #69 were getting held a little bit too and it wasn't called, but everyone sees the game through biased eyes. IMO the big difference was EM had no turn-overs and converted 2 Mooresville turn-overs into 14 points in a span of 25 seconds. Mooresville went from driving for a TD in the red to down 14-0 and had really controlled the field. Honestly, if Mooresville and EM play 10 times, I would say Mooresville wins 7 or 8 times. Maybe 10 out of 10 anywhere but Enlow.

Yea, I thought the same thing. Bagged up trash, had it ready to go. You guys are in a similar situation to us - always playing on someone else's field. -
This is the same thing I posted in the Mooresville thread, but it might also be helpful for the Mt. Vernon fans who are making the trip down for the game on Friday... Enlow Field is on the campus of Bosse HS, not Memorial HS. Bosse's campus sits on the corner of Highway 41 and Washington Avenue. Also, Enlow Field is not the same as Bosse Field. If you are using Google maps or Siri, use "Bosse HS", not "Bosse Field". If the directions take you anywhere but the area near the intersection of Highway 41 and Washington Avenue, you have something wrong. Bosse HS sits in a residential area, so there isn't a whole lot of parking at Enlow. There is a parking lot west of the stadium, which is accessed from Washington Avenue. That lot is on the home side, so you'll have to walk around the outside of the stadium to get to the visitor entrance on the east side (not a big deal). There is also a lot east of Bosse HS, which is also most easily accessed from Washington Avenue and Lodge Avenue. You can also park in the residential neighborhoods north of Bosse HS. The east lot will start filling up with Memorial tailgaters by 4:15pm or so. There will also be a lot of gatherings at houses along College Highway, which runs into Enlow from the north side. As a result, close parking will be tough to come by unless you get there early or use the west lot.

I know nothing about Danville this year, but they were a very tough and well-coached team when we faced them in 2017. HH looked good Saturday against the Orange Tigers. The HH run game travels well this time of year. ST Clown, is the Yoon kid okay? -

Two great teams. Enjoyed this on IHSAAtv. Hats off to FW Concordia. Great effort and battled. I don’t see anybody in 3A beating the Trojans.
