With the PAC, you have schools with their own separate school corps, so it is a different animal than a more urban conference. I'm afraid that in the SIAC, once kids return to the schools and the number of reported cases rise (and kids are required to stay home for 10-14 days or whatever the guideline is) it will be a quick domino effect. If the EVSC decides to cancel, that will take out Memorial and Mater Dei, and then Castle, Jasper and Vincennes are left to either cancel or try to patch together a schedule. I predict by 8/15, EVSC, the Catholic schools, and Warrick School Corp will have all decided to cancel the fall seasons.

Unfortunately, I think in the near future there's going to be a lot of schools with Wk. 2 (and the rest of the weeks) open too.

I've heard nothing but good things about this kid, but I'm a little surprised he committed this early. Do any of the GS folks know if ND is still talking to him? I think I remember someone on here posting on another subject that once a player commits, the real recruiting starts. Is there any sense this might happen here?

100% Correct. It's shocking to me how many people are not wearing masks at the grocery store, etc. I'm still very skeptical we will have a fall sports season. Ev. Mater Dei already had to postpone their restart a week because of a positive return for COVID-19.

Ev. Memorial lost a lot of starters. With a very small group of seniors they will need sophomores and juniors to step up. Things will be a little different this year than the past 3 years...

I expect Gibson Southern will be one of the favorites to make it to LOS from the South.

I doubt either school will ever be in a financial position to put in enough bleachers to be able to host varsity games on their own campuses. MD has more space, but might have to sacrifice a large chunk of the baseball outfield and some parking lot. Memorial could not do it without moving the entire field west. . If EVSC ever denied use of their facilities to the two schools, then the answer might be for both to join together to build a place.

I saw a reply to that tweet questioning whether the roof was coming down, but Tommy said he hadn't heard that. I sure hope the roof stays.

I kinda wondered the same thing. Haven’t really ever done much and getting through Sectional 40 with Mater Dei and (usually) Southridge is always going to be a challenge.
