  1. At least he would be in a database lol he’s got at least 4 offers and 247/rivals doesn’t even have him in their database
  2. Tbh I have no idea. fast enough to make you pay dearly…but at his size and frame he is more of a crisp route runner and possession receiver. He’s fast for his size and moves well…he’s just that much better at route running and what he does after the catch that you don’t really need to question the speed. for a kid who is 6’3 and a focus point for opposing defenses every week….he’s slippery
  3. This is kinda what my point is….but more to the idea of how exposure influences the ratings…I feel like the process is flawed and don’t get me wrong, character is always a big part of recruiting and ultimately leads to a coaches choice to offer or not…but this isn’t about a coaches choice to offer or not…it’s more about the process that gets a kids name on the desk or the kids film pulled up with the recruiting staff. Can’t help but think there are too many prospects out there who’s film doesn’t even get watched because the staff is super busy and just go through the guys 247/rivals has listed…and the 247/rivals staff are chasing clicks and not talent
  4. I mean…yes… but I’m speaking more about what happens when you get outside of the camps and 7on7 it’s unrealistic to expect every college program to watch every talented kids film. So once you’re outside of camps/visits, they have to be able to find the prospects outside of their region….and 247/Rivals/espn is going to guide that…and maybe it goes both ways….if Alabama is offering a kid, they are going to get a boost. The kids being recruited to the MAC schools or FCS could very well (and sometimes are) be more talented but are the recruiting sites actually grading talent or are they grading on a curve based on which coaches have actually seen them/have offered if a kid commits early to ball state and is a hard commit, are they going to increase their ratings if the kid performs better than expected? Or will the kid stay the same despite showing the talent of being much much better?
  5. I’m sure that factors in a little bit but for many recruits, their offers come from visits and camps where you don’t have that chemistry with your teammates…so I have to imagine these kids (rory in this case) have already shown that they are good enough on their own merits. I just feel like you could take any kid in Indiana having a phenomenal season…you could slap a 3 star or 4 star rating on their profile and they would have 5 offers tomorrow….but all those kids with no stars/profiles/rankings ….unless they are playing in a big metro like indy/make it to a big time game in November
  6. Exactly…I think it’s important to pitch it as a multi use facility and emphasize that as much as possible because nobody is going to raise the $500K + it takes, if it’s just a football field. Gotta show how it benefits the entire school and community not just the 100 or so involved with the football program
  7. The class of 2022 is a STRONG class…depending on the site, there are 10 4 Star kids with 2 guys (Curry & Goodwin) as possible 5 Star guys. but I gotta ask….how much of this is actually done with a process and what even goes into it. the reason I bring this up is because Rory Heltsley on Gibson Southern has an offer from Air Force and 3 FCS offers to go with it….he has 60 or so catches for 1100 yards and 19 TDs on the year…kid is exceeding all the buzz….so you would think he would have some recruiting profile or something….nope 247 has 50 kids in Indiana ranked with at least a 2star ranking for the class of 2022…and Rory isn’t one of them…and I just don’t understand how at this point. I just feel like rivals/247/espn have little to no process on this and I know there are other kids besides Rory that get left out too, he was just the strongest example, that I know of, to ask this question/get this topic started it’s all just seems like a crapshoot
  8. Maybe whoever is proposing it…they should push for a new turf field to include soccer lines and such. Gibson Southern I believe had to have those lines added to get the turf approved and at the time the soccer teams were just playing at the Ft. Branch middle school…which honestly had a really nice soccer field already. it’s a money game I know, but if you push to have the soccer/lacrosse lines + revamp the track…in theory you’re bringing in more alumni and people who are interested in other things besides just football
  9. I feel like there have been 5/6 different threads about fields/field conditions/moving locations….. like y’all are just beating around the bush because that one thread got locked up 😉
  10. I just know that when I was playing that the coaching staff (pre coach hart) made it a point to tell us to watch out because of like concrete exposed on the sidelines and just other stuff when we played there. Maybe those things have been addressed since then, idk…but the city of Washington and those fans deserve a new stadium….they have one of the coolest basketball arenas in the US and it has a capacity that is like 12th of all HS courts….but that track/football/soccer/lacrosse field is the complete opposite
  11. Next up Washington….unless they have renovated recently and it went unmentioned but that field is brutal and has been since I was in HS 10 years ago. I imagine it would go a little ways towards turning the program around giving it some new life….but I’m sure the coaches there have been asking for it for years
  12. Apparently people got word of the new shirts 😂
  13. You seen it first hand with a particular OL guy that was at Southridge/Gibson Southern I believe …but I’m not exactly sure the reasoning. I just recall a 2017? Maybe 2018 matchup where one brother went to GS and the other to SR
  14. Is one of the QBs basically in that area between NP and MD? I didn’t think about it much until now but the two schools are fairly close to each other.
  15. Looking at it…possible regional outcomes: BTown Central @ Heritage Hills Gibson So @ BTown Central Lburg @ Heritage Hills Lburg @ Gibson So. I think I got this correct but maybe not….either way we won’t know where it’s played until Friday night…but 3/4 outcomes result in PAC regional home game
  16. I have no idea…can’t recall how it works for regionals….either way it’s going to be a long trip for 1 team and 1 team is going to have a rocking crowd at home…whether it’s GS/HH/Lburg/Btown
  17. That’s what I thought too but apparently not. I thought 2011 for sure because I remember them dog walking us at GS and had a phenomenal year…but maybe they ran into MD in the sectional cuz MD was strong too around then and playing at LOS…thought there was a year in like 2016 too or something but I guess not
  18. i didn’t realize this…but it’s been since 2005 since north posey has won a sectional? I remember some very good teams over the years that they have had and I am surprised it’s been this long nothing against MD but I’m rooting for North Posey this week. North Posey has just been too good for so many years now that it’s their time to win the sectional
  19. This game probably means more than whatever game next week has in store for either team, Heritage Hills and Gibson Southern for the sectional? Fans/kids are going to remember this one for while.
  20. Gibson Southern 42 Salem 13 3:00 left 2nd Brady Allen is human and threw his 1st int of the year lol the crazy streak comes to an end at 41 TDs without an int
  21. When was the last time GS had a player rush for 250 in a game?
