I think youre mostly right here. Of the 12 GS wins, I think they played the starters into the 4th three times, four times in total Columbus North was an 8 point game in the 3rd Qtr before blowing it open The South Warren loss obviously I believe the Mt Vernon game in round 1 and then finally the Lburg game. every game but Lburg this last week and the South Warren loss were running clocks

Isn’t the QB only a sophomore? From what I’ve read he is well beyond where he should be at this age and a pretty good QB.

So how big is tri west in the trenches. Lburg had size to match at the very least and that gave GS a little more work to deal with than they have seen most of the year. max preps depth chart doesn’t help much when you have no idea who the starters actually are…and that’s if the info listed is accurate

Maybe…but probably more about finishing drives. Lburg did a fantastic job in the second half on Saturday and they stalled out 3 drives that were in Lburg territory….4 if you count the one where we kicked the go ahead FG as that was a 1st and goal and ended up being basically a PAT the tigers were able to hang around and they did so long enough that they earned themselves a shot at the W. maybe not so much of a smack down/playing angry…just need to execute and keep the foot on the gas

My best friend/future best man is a grad from Tri West and this is going to be a fun week of poking fun. lizton is very small and if I remember correctly it’s like Ft branch where it’s just 1 small town of 3/4 that makes up the school. Not too far from Brownsburg so I’m sure many of the GS community are already familiar with the travel route since the team goes to Brownsburgs camp every summer

What happened to that? I noticed they didn’t have the thing up for which day is 1,3,5A

Sad thing is…probably can earn enough points to stay up in 5A but it’s going to be incredibly hard even with a super gifted class to win it all

It feels great to come out of one of these games that humble you on top GS might not have needed this game but I’m glad Lburg gave us this game. This might be the first time in a long time that GS has responded to real adversity and come out on top

At this point, I’m not sure that even if we put Memorial in 6A, it would stop them from a post season run lol barely a 3A school by enrollment and unintentionally trying to play in 5A

For the sectional breakdowns of who is in what sectional…..is it not possible to make an algorithm to sort this out automatically. like…just thinking…you make an algorithm that factors in drive times from one school to another school. you do this for all 64 schools in a class against the other 63 schools. Then you sort it by regionals for drive time…before doing it again for sectionals. the idea is that it wouldnt be about North/south…but actually using the implied term of the games being…regional lol. Semi-state games are determined by distance too…because maybe on some years it’s more east vs west. a hypothetical example could be both West Lafayette and Tri-West both make it to semi state…the current format has it where they or their opponent will have to travel 3+ hours….or they could play each other being only an hour away if that. idk…was just thinking…seeing a lot of fans talking about 3-4 hour drives and am asking if there is any way to automate this and make it better for everyone involved

2012. After back to back OT wins over Vincennes and then Memorial to win the first sectional in school history, being down 28-0 and then 49-21 at half, Gibson Southern held 12-0 Charlestown to 56 yards in the 2nd half and came back to win 56-49 on the road. just absolute magic
