  1. I think it’s a slippery slope of trying to decide what is and what isn’t good playing conditions I do like the idea of having neutral site semi state games though….but that requires a lot of planning and work….and doesn’t make sense if the distance between the two teams is less than an hour. I just don’t think a semi state team should have to travel 2+ hours for a game
  2. If I’m not mistaken, it looks like the winner of the Salem/GS game will be the home team in the sectional championship no matter what.
  3. That was a really good sectional game. Score was something like 38-33? High scoring game. we were starting so many Sophomores that year and to see what they could do so early was impressive. 2012 seniors unlocked the potential for the program…2013 sophomores (class of 2015) really set the standard and gave GS the ability to reload instead of rebuild
  4. Very nice transfer processed and I just donated. Thanks for keeping the site running
  5. I’m here I’m just still waiting on this darn money to transfer “Taking a little longer” 🙄🙄🙄 this is why I hate PayPal btw I got a expired certificate today for the site
  6. Where have these comments been. we all just wanna talk ball
  7. He used aluminum foil instead of tin foil for his hat…aluminum is getting to him
  8. Brother in law from my understanding. it is a tough task…I think the biggest thing for Princeton is probably just getting the kids to buy in for football…Princeton in many ways is like Indiana in terms of athletics….Basketball school. it’s been a few years but I believe when Schenk was the coach there his first year I was at the 7on7 at GS and Princeton did really well for that 7on7 and they had an impressive number of football players…truly an impressive amount more than what I had seen of them at any other time. Idk what Princeton’s numbers have been recently but I think whoever takes over, for them to really succeed, they need to get close to whatever those numbers were…even if the kid is a senior and hasn’t played football in a few years…get them on the team
  9. Slightly off topic/on topic i am curious to know the extent that Covid has set back the recruiting process for many of the student athletes across the US/indiana…we probably won’t know for a few years but when you read about a great young kid making waves, it kinda makes you wonder how much cancelled camps and all that delayed getting the exposure for the recruiting process. don’t know if this even applies to this young man…sounds like he is pretty good and will be playing on saturdays in the future and I look forward to following along
  10. That’s interesting. I feel like he had that team right on the cusp but just couldn’t get over whatever hump that princeton has in front of them I know Schenk (I apologize if that’s the wrong spelling of his name) had Princeton turned around for a short bit but then he took the job at North Posey.
  11. Found the game from the last meeting in 2019. I can’t remember how this game went but it seems like Salem gave GS a good fight and it was a close game until the end
  12. Linton is serving up ribeye? No wonder their fan base is so strong…they are eating good
  13. Who knows…I’m not sure it matters at this point. I only listened to the radio call but it seemed like the refs were just letting the boys play ball and not trying to interfere too much. got a new opponent this week and that’s all that really matters…it’s another 12 months before GS and MTV play on the football field.
  14. It’s easier to teach a kid to just run as hard as they can and others to just wrestle the guys in front of them than it is to teach a QB to read defenses, a WR to run option routes, and OL to be disciplined enough to block for an RPO. more work in the beginning but once the system is in it works….I would like to note that having a dual threat QB who knows when to pull the ball and keep it for himself is maybe even better…because it’s dual threat…not just run not just pass. again I would like to reiterate that this isn’t about Gibson Southern…I’m not a coach there and don’t make the calls. I used them as an example but im speaking purely as a football fan.
  15. I’m not continuing with this. I’ve explained it already. It’s proven on all other levels of football and I don’t need to repeat myself anymore
  16. That’s the problem its not a matter of opinion lol…your opinion doesn’t matter Statistically it is without a doubt more efficient to pass the ball than to run the ball. There is no room for your opinion 😂 gtfo already
  17. Run offenses that can get chunk plays certainly are an exception to this. All about yards per play
  18. Sure. You’re still wrong and you haven’t been able to refute anything I’ve said. Won a battle to lose a war.
  19. Off topic and irrelevant. It was more of an analogy…but you know that…I’ve been here for almost 10 years so I know your game.
  20. well…the coaches should have known and not allowed it…it’s a rule in place for a reason….but on this topic I’m not sure qtrs is the best approach to manage players….but counting snaps played also isn’t a great option because of 2 way players and teams with smaller numbers. Maybe it’s a thing and I’m unaware…but I don’t think qtrs played under a running clock should count….but then again, that’s just making the younger and generally smaller kids play more snaps
  21. I personally lean this way too…but if you have 4 very athletic LBs does it matter? Is it really just more about how the 4th pass rusher does? Or if that edge rusher can make the right decisions and back off into a zone instead of pressuring when they need to? tbh if I had it my way….4-4 stack but im sure there is a reason many teams don’t run this….probably because it’s 8 in the box
  22. Can someone tag me tomorrow and remind me to become a booster. I read PayPal wrong and my thing doesn’t process until midnight lol
