  1. It’s weird not seeing chatard/memorial/west Lafayette not in the top 3
  2. I know right now this is what may be the top 20 or close to it…. but I think Gibson Southern will be in the top 20 by seasons end…the team has a lot of talent for a 3A school and this year they can actually implement their offseason program. last summer they didn’t get to do their 7on7 work and still managed to have a great year despite the huge increase in SOS. This year they have already won the mooresville 7on7 against some of the bigger indy schools and are really putting it all together to start out the year with strong showings. Brady Allen is a senior and primed for his best year Rory Heltsley has developed into a D1 WR the OL is going to be a big group strong committee of WRs LBs and RBs….not entirely sure who is the starter but the group seems better than in years past. strong SoS for 3A too…probably just behind just the Indy Catholics and West Lafayette when it comes to SoS. lots of promise with this group and I think they have a shot at cracking the top 20…something that they havent really done since 2015 when they were arguably the best 3A team and earned the respect of the Chatard faithful after giving them one hell of a ball game.
  3. I’ll give a like and follow but it’s hard for me to think Facebook is a better platform than this forum for the conversations I like to have here but I do like the interviews thing so I’ll play your game for just that. Just don’t think Facebook is the best for discussion…especially here in the PAC where we have what seems like more rivalry games than normal games
  4. Who is the kid that was Mocks backup? Ballard? I’ve heard good things about him and he’s incredibly fast. He might get the rock a bunch this year
  5. What if both sides are right here? Coming from a home that is more stable financially allowing the kid to spend more time training/playing sports opposed to having to work a job or even simply just being there to watch little siblings while the parents work…..but also having a great program from top to bottom and having a great coaching staff. why is this a yes or no thing? It’s not definitive for either but both certainly play a role anywayyyysssss super excited about this class. Was just looking and Indiana currently has ten 4 ⭐️ Prospects….oh course as a Gibson Southern fan I’m rooting for a Brady Allen all the way…but I am curious where Joe Strickland lands. He has been a 4 ⭐️ guy since his freshman year and training with Robert Mathis. Tons of offers and could really go anywhere. also Omar Cooper….I remember someone last year said he was new but a dark horse to rise up the ranks and now he is sitting 4th in the state
  6. Getting ahead of the horse here….but next stop the saints? Black and Gold clearly is a favorite of his haha I’m a Wisconsin Badgers fan but having lived in Indiana and attended GS….it’s exciting seeing Purdue get in state kids….especially ones that we have seen torch the Titans defense just a special kid. I just seen he won the state long jump competition and finished 2nd in 110 hurdles too. also glad he graduated lol 😅
  7. Devin Mockober has decommitted from navy and has committed to Purdue. Pretty big news and very exciting
  8. I certainly would assume so…especially this far into the offseason. this is exciting news though. My senior year of high school was Coach Harts 1st season as coach for the football team (2012?) and let me tell you the difference in atmosphere in the school once he arrived immediately changed….for all sports… he brought an energy to the football team and it spread like wildfire in the best way. GS sports really became a pride and joy for the community and many of the kids and it definitely shows still beyond that, I think this shows another level of commitment to the Gibson Southern community….it seems like every year there are a few talking heads that ask if Coach Hart will ever consider leaving GS for reitz or a college program or some other big school gig..and this kinda just makes me think all of that can be put to rest. Taking the position as AD, at least in my opinion, means he is going to be sticking around for a while…and that’s always good news
  9. When you make a thread to hype up the current senior class and it quickly turns into a socioeconomic debate 😂😂😂
  10. Indiana currently ranks 7th among ALL states when it comes to the number of top 250 football recruits. texas of course has 41 and the other big names like Alabama, Florida, California, and Georgia. Indiana coming in with a strong 8 prospects in the top 250…with many others probably worthy of joining the group too Link: https://n.rivals.com/news/rivals-rankings-week-states-with-most-rivals250-prospects
  11. I see that Gibson Southern won the big state 7on7! north posey won the small state tournament in mooresville too! great showing for the PAC
  12. I’m so glad that the PAC merged and is what it is now. we got hatchet fans…we got boonville fans…we got the rest of the old Big 8 fans in here…and everyone has tons of flexibility in their schedule to fit it to their teams needs and wants resulting in tons of new matchups to follow
  13. This is a football thread....but I kinda want to know how Colson Montgomery is doing. is he going to a college? Or straight into the MLB draft? How good has he been for his career?
  14. He plays WR. he is listed at 6’3 215 I believe
  15. I’m not entirely sure how it works with these academic schools....but I would have to assume you have to be a smart cookie + be Uber talented athletically to get an offer. the last player I can remember who got an offer out of the PAC to an Ivy League school was Ben Braunecker out of Forest Park. I believe he was the class of 2011/2012. Went to Harvard and then found a way to make the Chicago Bears roster for a little bit. I remember when I was at GS and we played them week 1, one of the coaches pregame was telling us about him saying “he is bigger than our tackles.” There were some explicative language in there but I’ll leave it out lol.
  16. So much controversy in this thread if we are going to talk about GS so much why don’t we talk about how Rory Heltsley who has picked up 3 offers this offseason...and might have more on the way So Far: Air Force, Morehead State Brown (Ivy league) spending all this time chirping about whatever and talking negatively.....but you got a stud who is seeing his hard work pay off...and people aren’t noticing
  17. Oh most definitely....just like how on the north bracket they put all of those powerhouse schools in the same sectional. im unfamiliar if anything has changed but I know recently 7 or 8 of the top 10 3A teams were in the same 2 sectionals....and it wasn’t like the schools suddenly became great teams and it’s a coincidence lol
  18. It looks like WR Rory Heltsley picked up a D1 offer from Air Force yesterday. Congrats to the big man! I imagine he has been putting in a ton of work this offseason in preparation for his senior year at Gibson Southern and it’s exciting to see it paying off.
  19. I always love the GS optimism. But I do know the OL is taking some hits to graduation. I believe we lose 3 starters including Braden Tucker....and losing him alone is a big hit. Not easy to replace a 6’5 300 guard like him in HS lol. With that said, much like Southridge, GS has done really well at replacing those who graduate so the concern of southridge losing their horsepower I’m just not sure is valid either. it’s super early though. A lot can happen. GS returning Brady is huge. Can’t believe it’s already going into year 4 with him. Should be fun to watch next year. hopefully we can go back to having packed houses and all the craziness that comes with it!
  20. This game....I’m not sure what to even think about....23-20 SR right now but Jesus. I’m not sure momentum exists in this game. seems more like a mystery box of events from turnovers to a safety to a tipped pass td. what a weird game
  21. 2 for 1 special! I hope he gets a full offer at the college level. Kid is too big and too good to still be without one.
  22. End of 3. This GS team is miles ahead of where they were before. Limiting Mockobee the best we can...but offensively this team is rolling. Defensively they are soooo much better. a lot to be excited about heading into sectionals
  23. I think it’s important to win. but more as a checkup before sectionals. GS has certainly improved on defense. I think this game should show us how much the team has improved. also playing the starters against a run heavy team like boonville certainly helps prepare the team for run heavy teams like HH
  24. Mannnn you are thinking what I was thinking. if they still had Colson this would be a very very scary SR team. Their current QB (name slips the mind) could be a power back for them full time and just bulldoze people even without Colson, this is still a special SR team with so much speed. Shoot it’s in the one kids name! With a name like Gasser you gotta be fast lol
  25. I specifically remember a Princeton game being moved to Princeton because it was already played at GS. I can’t recall the year but i am pretty certain it has happened before. that’s not to say agreeing to travel 10 miles to Princeton is the same as traveling between Lincoln city and fort branch.
