  1. Warren South is a county school powerhouse. Warren East is like a toned down version. Bowling Green is also insanely good and has dealt some blows to Indiana schools in the recent past. Lots of talent in the Bowling Green area. Floyd Central should have numbers/size advantage but people in the BG area take their hs sports very seriously so I wouldn't be surprised if Warren East puts up a good fight. I'd pick Warren South and BG to handle FC for what its worth.
  2. Any TC/Batesville predictions?
  3. How are Bremen's numbers? Busco has been prone to gassing out the past couple of years.
  4. Unrelated to the thread, but I think Columbia City would be a great Wawasee replacement in the NLC if things ever went that way...
  5. I think these picks look good. Small Division thoughts Wouldn't be surprised if South Side hangs tough with Marion like they have the past two years. East Noble is such a tough matchup for Wayne, but I expect the Generals to be in the small division race. I hope Concordia has more of a pulse this year, it seems like they've been a young team for the past couple of seasons and I'm wondering when all that varsity experience for the young guys will pay off. I think week 1 might be most telling for Luers. If they hang tough with Leo again I think it will lead to another promising season, they just can't stumble down the order to South Side again. I'm a little worried about North Side. Seems like they've had trouble putting it all together. I'm optimistic they'll beat Northridge, but like East Noble/Wayne, its a tough matchup for the SAC team in my eyes. My standings prediction 1. Luers 2. North 3. Wayne 4. Concordia 5. South Big division thoughts Throp really needs to blow out New Haven week 1 and a show some improvement. Could be another long year if not. Gonna be a tough opening week for Carroll and Homestead. I think Westfield hangs a crooked number on the Spartans this year. I'm interested to see what the Chargers look like, and think they have more of a shot than Homestead. Dwenger vs Roncalli is really exciting as well. Like you, I think the Saints will be right there with some of the top teams in 4A this year. Snider once again looks gnarly. I think they handle Warsaw as well, but maybe more like 21-7 in a ball control masterclass. 1. Snider 2. Dwenger 3. Carroll 4. Homestead 5. Northrop
  6. I've said yes to that in the past and been incredibly wrong. Jamison Roach is just so good, makes all the right choices. Would take a complete team effort. Heritage might be closer to AC this year.
  7. Eastbrook in on name recognition alone. A head scratcher for sure. Tipton underrated for sure, but Bluffton is also worth of receiving votes imo.
  8. Clemson is garbo and Dabo will join his buddy Nick lobbying for the removal of NIL soon enough.

  10. Yorktown wants to stay, Delta wants to go.
  11. Bloomington North getting a QB from Illinois whose dad got a coaching job at IU.
  12. They're laughing at you 😂 you think you say the most cutting things and they just fall flat
  13. Sick turf design, if you're gonna spend the big bucks getting a new field, might as well go the whole 9 yards (of bricks).
  14. NAIA plays their college season in the spring. Would be nice to get everyone on the same page. Feel like spring is the perfect time.
  15. School system I work in offers an officiating class to high school students where they can get certified to work middle school events. Kids were able to make money calling aau on the weekends and middle school on the week nights. I feel like it would be a great addition to most school systems.
  16. Very happy for Ryan. Got to become friends with him calling basketball games for the school. To be honest the wider Lakeland community is pretty apathetic to sports, and the parents are absolute monsters to deal with. This will be a good step for him culture wise and he really deserves the community support. He's gonna put the work in, just needs the kids and community to back him.
  17. Northrop could get half of Luers' returners and I still don't see them being over .500. It's not a talent thing, they've had talent in the past and have still been in the basement with Southside. Even when Northside was seemingly sucking up all the talent in the Summit City the past few years, they haven't even been able to do much anything of note. Snider has the winning program with great coaches and culture. Luers has tradition and a storied program competing at a lower enrollment level. Homestead and Carroll are both strong programs and are only getting stronger, with the resources to pour everything they can into player development. Northrop has none of that. They've only beaten Snider, Homestead, Carroll and Dwenger TWICE combined since before their current players were born. It's gonna take a lot of work to make serious headway in this program, not just an athletic class of transfers. As far as if Luers loses transfers, they'll probably still be above .500 and playing deep into November regardless.
  18. They have reached out to all but one of Rushville, Connersville, Anderson, Richmond and Muncie
  19. "Delta would love to be a part of something with us, but Yorktown has been tough to talk to" "The only thing they (Yorktown) win is volleyball, they're terrible at everything else"
  20. They've talked to Lapel, they want to stay away from teams that don't offer the same sports as them. A baseball player speaks and says "even with maybe our best team ever, we came in third in conference" "it's good that we get prepared with a tough schedule, but my senior year we lost 20 games" student athlete is hitting all the points, he's really pulling for a conference change. He said "are our student athletes getting better or are we getting comfortable with losing?"
  21. Summary so far: we're gonna go to the hhc soon and ask to modify the football schedule so we don't have to play Mt V, New Pal (who "finds d1 linemen from Fort wayne every year and got their qb from Ohio last year" direct quote), GC and PH. The enrollment different is too much and too vast. Our enrollment is going down or staying the same and theirs is growing. Participation is down in middle school. 6th graders asking "Why keep playing football if PH and NP beat us by 50 every year?" Flexible scheduling with the big 4 HHC schools based on how strong the individual sports are (ie volleyball).
  22. For your viewing pleasure: https://www.youtube.com/live/-DJgaGEJyUo?feature=shared 5:30 start time New Castle school board special session, I didn't realize how creepy that sounded til after I posted it.
