  1. Too funny to not share
  2. Man, I was THIS close to liking this post. Buuuuuuuuuut....Go Navy beat Army!!! 😄
  3. 5 teams in the top 11 lose, and Miami escapes defeat for the 2nd week in a row. https://www.espn.com/college-football/scoreboard
  4. I said it when the rankings came out that with the Irish at 18, it was likely they could find themselves in the playoff picture with teams ranked higher losing and some playing each other as the season progressed. While I still don't think they are worthy of a playoff spot, you have to ask are there really 12 teams good enough to compete for a championship? There may be more parody this season than what we have seen in some time, there are still just a handful of teams who are good enough to compete for a championship.
  5. Nice win at home for Vandy

It did not come easy. Defense needs to do better in coverage. Defensive penalties leading to scoring drives has got to be fixed. The KO team has got to be better. Love that the team just keeps battling. I was worried in the 4th quarter when they had to settle for a late field goal after an obvious DPI in the end zone went unnoticed.
  7. Keepin an eye on both Army and Navy. At the time of making this post, both teams are 4-0 and have a 21-7 in their games today. Could get interesting going forward
  8. East Noble saw last week's CC game on hudl, and decided the Coach needs a little humbling 🙂

Interested to know what is bringing this on. The portal has very little regulation to it. Seems that it should not be allowed during the season
  10. One of the greatest to ever put the cleats on https://www.cincinnati.com/story/sports/2024/09/30/pete-rose-mlb-hits-leader-obituary/2808469001/
  11. While Love had some solid throws, he made WAY too many mistakes. He ignored open receivers underneath that were open to take deep shots to receivers who were covered. Defensively, the plan was to apparently not blitz and let Darnold throw....what a horrible idea. And I am not sure how with 7 guys in coverage that receivers were still wide open. Playing well for maybe 15 minutes of the game was not enough.
  12. While there are signs teams really did not run up the score, there are cases where I do think the intent is to run it up. Columbia City was up 42-0 on New Haven with less than a minute left in the 1st half. While mistakes and turnovers by New Haven did not help, the game was well in hand before the half. They had already blocked 2 punts, returning one for a TD. CC runs their punt block again and get the block. With 15.5 seconds left in the half, they could have......actually SHOULD have taken a knee; but nope. so it's now 49-0 at the half. With a running clock in the 2nd half, they get a TD late, now 68-0, line up for a PAT, and run a fake. While the snap was bobbled a bit, it was clear from the way the wings played it, the fake was called beforehand. So they get the 2 points to get to 70. It was also clear that Coach Fox was trying to run it up.
  13. Nothing comes easy for this team. It was an ugly win.

Turnovers and penalties kept Maryland in the game. A couple of stops late for IU seals the win. 5-0 for the first time in 57 years.
  15. The stakes were pretty high in this game. If Miami loses, then the ACC does not have a top ten team. They could drop a couple spots even though this is a win.
  16. When I saw the play live, I thought simultaneous possession. In the initial reviews, I thought he caught it and then was forced out after he landed. One view from behind the goal post is what I think is the best view of a catch. If it had been called incomplete on the field, it would be hard to argue that call. BUT, it was called a TD on the field. I do not believe the replays rose to the level of "irrefutable evidence" to overturn the call. https://www.espn.com/video/clip?id=41483100
  17. I am guessing downed power lines and related risks are factors?

Great to see.....also, there is this topic. Hopefully it's a busier and more positive thread than the last few years 🙂
  20. The caption: "Quite possibly the worst-blocked run play ever. 4 out of the 5 linemen are lying on the ground." lol
  21. Nice road win. Happy for Willis to be the starter for that win against his former team. Even though Tennessee is 0-3, the future is bright. Their defense was solid for most of the game against the run. They had a couple nice drives that lead to TD's. The Packers did get 8 sacks and 2 picks (one for a TD). They have matched the total number of picks they got last season. I have long been a critic of MLF, but will give him credit. They have run the ball often and run it well. The screen game looks much better than previous seasons as well. Hopefully those things continue when Love comes back. Big test next Sunday against a surprisingly good Vikings team. If Willis plays next week, he needs to be a bigger factor in the run game.

Charlotte's ability to move the ball was concerning, but the defense adjusted well.
