I certainly don't think you're an outsider, but just being honest that you're a referee and may have a little bit of inside information is good. I heard some of the coaches implying that things were in the works and this was public implying. You don't have to believe it, but you can certainly text them or shoot them a message on facebook, and then comment here. Oh, and take three knees and kick the ball out of bounds. 🙂 🙂 🙂 Clock management counts. 🙂

The last I heard about it was an interview with the Luers head coach, Leisure Suit!, and he was talking about something in the works for the near future. I can't remember it word for word, but something about the upper teams looking for some outside competition. I'm sure it's on the web somewhere. I've heard it mentioned on 1380 a few times, too.

But aren't the AD's working on this?

BINGO! Some simply want to punish good programs, as long as they are non-public.

Go through the list of good programs in 4A, 3A, 2A, 1A and put them in 7A. I get it.

Take 3 knees, stay away from the punted ball and that team may have been the champion in 2A. They would have been fine seeded anywhere, maybe?

Both schools sit on/across the street from the city limits.

I've been thoroughly amazed by Social Studies teachers this year. Misunderstanding so much. Mixing liberal and conservative economics up so much. The ones I've read...many times don't know the history of things.

I went to grade school and high school with Fred, but only see him when he's refereeing IHSAA basketball games that I see anymore. Yes, he went to Catholic grade school. When I lived in the area, I'd often catch WEBO games. Good football over that way. Whatever happens, I hope that the decent Luers team shows up and they don't drop opportunities.

Well, it happens. Dwenger decided to turnover the game away. Concordia played fairly well against one of the best teams in the state. Homestead is Homestead and does this occasionally. If I was that other guy southend, I’d wonder why Harding and New Haven together are playing so poorly. Did they pick the wrong coach? Lots of politics there.

The IHSAA is a membership (club?) of member schools. It has nothing to do with what type of school.

It’s actually 23-3 and Tipton marched right down the field before half and should have had a TD.

There are a myriad of ways to make up the lost seat time and money.

No, but I'm sure there is some wealthy person that might be able to help out. The church is quite wealthy, but as a member I understand that it is distributed unwisely. That's another story. I was there and thought that MD was the better team, but the timing was just a bit off.

It is what it is. Mater Dei had some bus issues, too, last year. They just couldn't get it together. Maybe MD should have driven up on Friday.

I read this on the Luers site: Friday, November 6, the Bishop Luers Knights take on the Eastside Blazers at Luers Field! Tickets will be available for purchase for our Football and Cheer families in the Front Office on Wednesday 1:00PM-4:30PM, Thursday 7:15AM-4:30PM, and Friday 7:15 AM- 12:30PM. Tickets are $6.00 each, and will not be sold at the gates Friday night. Tickets can be picked up by student athletes or parents! I wouldn't rush over to wait in line.
