  1. And I was wondering aboout 8th graders at Northwood Middle School across from Dwenger.
  2. New Haven? Concordia? Woodlan? Dwenger? Interesting on where they could rent.
  3. https://outsidethehuddle.net/2022/12/05/todd-mason-eastside-ad-aaron-willard-release-statements-on-masons-resignation/ You can see it at the link and I appreciate the frankness in this paragraph: My resignation is not the result of a single event, single person or season. My tenure at Eastside has been riddled with challenges, yet not from parents or student-athletes. The lack of institutional transparency and collaboration has left me exhausted mentally, physically and spiritually. I have lost my hope and belief that our educational leaders are willing to make decisions that are solely for the best for our students.
  4. That makes too much sense for the powers that be.
  5. So, the kids are paying for their predecessors athleticism.?.? Maybe we should make some good coaches resign to make it equitable.
  6. You can't have a true system because the players age out and you aren't picking them yourself from a talent pool. That is very different than the leagues that use promotion/relegation.
  7. Look what happens when Phil Gardner leaves...it gets worse and worse at that place.
  8. You think the other 2A schools aren't homogenous enough? We see good public school programs throughout the country, too.
  9. It's not very expensive for a former Catholic school teacher anyhow. 🙂
  10. No mention of your education or knowledge of football players at private schools was made. My speculation and assumptions are just like everything else, based on years of working in public schools in rural and suburban areas and listening to the folks. I'm not sure which private school has gotten you all riled up. As a public school teacher and a product and supporter of both Catholic and public schools, I find that the advantages/disadvantages go both ways. Perspective is needed.
  11. I've found that most people who speak like this don't have much experience with the private/parochial/whatever schools that play tough competition in a city. I see it says Triton, so you might be that same guy from Facebook that talks about private schools in a way that is less than friendly.
  12. I lived in two/three countries with far less organized high school systems. Be careful what you wish for. Oh, but their pro leagues have systems of promotion and relegation.
  13. Isn't this fake news in Indiana? Delete, delete.
  14. Eastside is a very physical team and Luers was very physical right back. You can go through the game at IHSAATV.ORG and look for examples of class and classlessness in the players on the field from both teams and you'll certainly hear the Eastside announcers lack of class on many occasions. I can remember Luers losing their QB in playoffs/games in a couple of different championship years. Next man up. That QB did well vs. Luers, but I get it.
  15. Lot's of Webbs up around here in Wabash County. Good people.
  16. Eastside controlled the ball/clock/game so well last year and Luers still had a chance. Eastside and Luers lost a lot. It could be the same way this year. Coach Mason is a genius against Luers. I think Churubusco has ZERO chance of beating either.
  17. P/P/P/P/P/P/C. All the same. :). For what it is worth, I teach in a small town and all I hear about is recruiting done by the Catholic and Lutheran schools in Fort Wayne...so I asked our big basketball star if any of the schools around here asked him to go there. Yep, they all did.
