  1. (BD had three defensive Indiana All-Stars including the defensive back Mr. Football in James Banks)
  2. Four seasons, but I really saw a difference in the way the series was played during his time there. It became much more about the game than all the other stuff. Well, maybe you should have been paying more attention.
  3. I was talking about DT's original statement. I'm not sure this team's even better than '08 CG yet. Long way to go. If I'm ranking them, I think they have the potential to be up there with '18 WC, '17 BD and teams like that. As far as if we're talking '06 WC or '91 BD, the jury's still out.
  4. Credit to Mike Kirschner and John Hart for kind of setting this as the standard that both Coach Simmons and West have continued.
  5. Great football game. Giants scored 14 unanswered in the 4th quarter to get the win. I really like what this rivalry has settled into. Competitive and fun. 5-5 over the last 10 meetings.
  6. I agree with you, DT. Trojan Dad is a fantastic guy and a great poster on the site. I will miss his insight. He's a class person.

  8. For the 96th time, Ben Davis will face Warren Central on Friday at WC. Both teams are off to uncharacteristically slow starts. Thoughts on this one?
  9. Furthermore, he, I think, has been reinvigorated by the challenge of building something. Mt. Vernon has been a solid program, but he's giving them more success than they've seen. It's a different challenge than what he had at BD.
  10. I am not surprised at all. Mike took this job because he thought he could do something. He's brought the same drive and work ethic he had for years to Mount Vernon, and he's building a monster out there! I couldn't be happier for my friend and former colleague.
  11. But I don't have to wear a mask and socially distance to improve my diet or hold off from drinking.
  12. All of these teams are on Driven T's list for contraction from the contraction list.
  13. But we don't know what the long term effects of the virus are. The virus never goes away. It never leaves the body. When you have chickenpox as a child, the virus stays in your body. Later, it can become shingles. We are essentially 9 or 10 months into this virus. Plus, the virus doesn't stop trying to achieve a new host just because it stays as a mild case. Nope. When viruses are vehicles, then your comparison will hold up.
  14. Sorry. I guess I misunderstood your intention. Of course, that happens sometimes on message boards. I apologize.
  15. Right, but the response was directly to itiswhatitis who seemed to belittle the decision, in my opinion, of the IHSAA to cancel the tournament. It trivialized, in my view, a very serious situation. I'm sure now where we are that different decisions would be made regarding fan attendance, etc. I would also assume the IHSAA would give every opportunity for the game to be played safely if possible.
  16. You realize people may have died because they attended a basketball Sectional, right? https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/high-school/2020/04/18/coronavirus-indiana-lawrence-central-basketball-sectional-10/5145870002/
