Cathedral did not dominate when thrown in with the biggest schools. In fact, quite the opposite. While they won Sectionals, they did not get out of Regional losing to Avon and Ben Davis.

He really has done a great job. That program was in shambles when he got there. I believe they had 35 or 36 kids out.

Being close to the airport, I've been told that drones are a no no in our airspace since we're within 5 miles of IIA.

I think this is a solid assessment.

No idea what to expect until they lace 'em up. I would expect Center Grove's going to be hard to beat, but Kirsch will have Warren ready to go as they can be. This isn't Eric Moore's first time at the rodeo. These guys (Kirschner and Moore) have tangled enough times in MIC play and the playoffs to know each other really well. I know there's a lot of respect between the two of them. By my count, Mike's 5-9 vs. the Grove and Coach Moore. I think this is a tall order for Warren. If they play again in November, that's when I'd expect WC to be even more dangerous.

Expect that things are going to happen again this year. We may be done with the virus, but it's not done with us.

That's fine, and I appreciate the comments. No disrespect is taken. I can see the sides on this. I don't like the word slippery slope, but I do think that the lines have to be drawn somewhere. Someone is always going to be #24 or #32 or #65, etc. I've advocated making the classes based on some sort of success factor completely. If a large enrollment school does not have a history of success, it can drop classes, for example. This way 6A would become the top 32 best teams...by some measure. Don't know how you figure that out.

Not to sound cruel but there are lots of schools who are an afterthought in tournament time. Some years, that's been everybody but one school in a class. But then when someone dominates, where do we draw the line? How many trophies do we hand out?

Not sure what the difference is between 24 and 32 teams in 6A. It's not going to change much. MIC vs. HCC.

Been to the Final Four the last two years. They've been "in contention". Jason's a fantastic guy. Nice interview. We'll see what the Giants have in a little over a week. If it's not the toughest schedule in the state, it's in the top 5. Brownsburg-Avon-Pike-Center Grove-Warren-LN-Carmel-LC-NC.

Hey DT, Thanks for all the quality interviews and offseason content. I've learned a lot reading your writeups. Just want to let you know that they are appreciated.

Another thing to consider... Center Grove Warren Central Lawrence Central North Central All have very new ADs. And only Jim Inskeep (Carmel) and John Clark (Ben Davis) have been in their positions for many many years.

A few years back, there was talk of a HCC/MIC merger. I believe those talks got fairly hot. Anyone see that type of arrangement where things might get aligned into divisions, etc.

Stranger things have happened. I'll be interested to see the developments with this. For Carmel, I suppose it makes sense from a gate standpoint. Having a football schedule with Fishers, HSE, Westfield, and Noblesville on your schedule would renew old rivalries. I've just never heard those rumblings from that direction. Center Grove...I can see that. The Lawrences moving as a pair...I could see that. The MIC has had six core teams since 1996, that's a long time in this day and age.

Doubtful that Carmel leaves the MIC. With CG, anything's possible. New AD there now. Who knows?

With the amount of video that is available, why would anyone need to spy on anyone else. Granted, you don't get practice video on someone, but, with Hudl, etc. Why would you need such nonsense and tomfoolery?
