  1. Well it’s D-Day for the Hoosiers. I hope they give a good account of themselves. Not remotely optimistic about a win, but I sure would like to see the offense solve some problems ,for the remainder if their schedule. Then finish on an upbeat. Man it must be hard right now to be in a positive frame of mind. Like a multiple time NCAA champion basketball coach said for college athletes, the mental too the physical is as 4 is to 1.
  2. So maybe they won’t get out of their own sectional?
  3. Browstown always seem to hover between being good and being real good, especially in the south part of the state.
  4. Winamac seems like a solid team this year. If they get out of sectional, who would they most likely face ?
  5. Luers is not-in a “down cycle “ this year, duh . So maybe good things will happen.
  6. I’m going to throw Jasper into the thread here. Although they might not get out of their sectional. Relatively quiet for the last decade or so they seem to be thriving in their new conference. They certainly aren’t as show time tested as East central, Chatard or Roncalli or even teams in their own conference. But they do have a coach who has been and knows the scenery in high profile match ups. The Germans have the athletes in their school , winning the big boy baseball state this year. I don’t know , but they seem to be going about their business down there in a workman like fashion.
  7. Yes it really creates a culture when you have a home stadium at your school
  8. Man, they can’t continue as is, so they are grasping for straws. It’s really not a tough call to make, given the state of the QB situation on the team. But does Allen think this is the move to salvage the season? Good luck. As I stated ,this mess isn’t a result of any of the players ,it truly is A reflection of an inadequate offense coach.
  9. U R spot on with Kirks tenure at Iowa, seems like every year they could be in the championship picture then boom, they lose to a nobody and out of contention. I remember Purdue put an L on Ohio State a few years ago when the Buckeyes were 1 or 2 in the county.
  10. So i guess I’m ready to back off a little bit if Indiana wins the game tomorrow. But I’m very skeptical of the desire that the Hoosiers have.
  11. Yes , but this south team leaves something to be desired. A reflection on the coaches I think. But the talent, overall in Bloomington ,has dropped off considerably in the last 7-10 years. Man I’m not sure a combination of both Bloomington high schools could beat Chatard. Sad for a community that at one time had a top 5 program of all classes.
  12. Oh, ok I get it. You thought I meant miners had an edge over wildcats. I meant to infer that Linton seems to be on top of their game, edgy, not that they have an edge on anybody.
  13. All I can say to this is, what I already said. until Linton proves that they can compete at MD’s level.
  14. I also agree with the statement, until Linton proves that they can compete at MD level, all the talk means nothing. That being said, the miners seem to have that edge to them this year.
  15. But all that you said ,IS football. 14-13 game, 7-9 game is ok by me. Two good programs here! Hard to lay an egg in this contest.
  16. Could be, but history tells us these two schools will be at their best, barring injuries. You saying one is that much better?
  17. A good passing team always set up their passing ,with run plays. Where Jasper has been successful is they will make these teams pass , whether they want to or not. More mistakes can happen when you pass over if you run the ball. Jasper says , beat us with the pass.
  18. Me too, the guy has promoted high school coaches, sports, and media like no one else in indiana. And for godsakes he’s not in it for the money. As far as I’m concerned, he can continue for as long he has the health to do it.
