  1. we had our 125th year last year, fun stuff. I am sure I will get my pre or post game Hoodie Hooo from ya my friend Cheers
  2. Yes sir, bounced back wonderfully after week 10!!!! monsoon
  3. You sir, forgot Baseball and softball fields as well. Don't just stop with Football in my community, where I gladly pay a nice tax rate, the entire 7 Girl softball fields were flipped to turf. Pretty sure many of the boys fields as well. I know a lot of HS up here in the 219 area code have turf infields. Saves a lot of rain outs from what I've heard
  4. @btownqbcoach This message board system has something called a "REPORT" button, as many of the original members of the leadership team, Coach Adams, Jimmie, Dk, would tell folks back then, same as I used to do when I was in a computer lab for 13 years and had full on day of 20 plus tabs open and did the day to day around here, and just like my pal Irishman has done now that he has been most visible in this current era of GID; all you have to do is hit that little babysitting button we have here and ENTIRE team gets an email. Many times Irishman has gotten to it first, others have done there part many times in the shadows of our wonderful website that you have been a member of for many years before. Give it a try, if so feel the need, however, I must say, as the OP of this thread, you've received quite the attention here last 5-6 days. For that sir, you can say, thank you. 😀 For everyone else, I appreciated the info that was provided, and couldn't agree more, Bermuda is amazing to play on, I thank @foxbat team he is mostly associated with Lafayette Central Catholic, only school I've experienced it on. Its really really nice. We get a lot of compliments for our track of natural plush bushy grass here in middle of Jasper County. Practice field, well that builds character as @Muda69 would say.
  5. Here is what I find comical, literally @Muda69has been on this board for probably coming to 20 years, many of you who just went tit for tat with him fell right into message board drama 101. He posts an article BTW, I see nothing wrong with it personally, if NO ONE said a word about it, guess what would of happened......not 18 posts and 2 more pages of message board drama. Muda won that one fellas. Hook line sinker. Sidenote: congrats on future baby, always exciting.
  6. October 5th is next Executive Meeting, new stats released then
  7. IHSAA Executive Minutes are public record Below is from August 2023 Every Ex Session they post stats on Transfers, here was the latest Scroll down: 1157 transfers, .07% ruled ineligible , 7.2% ruled limited. https://www.ihsaa.org/sites/default/files/documents/082223 Executive Committee.pdf
  8. this video was 11 years ago, you should see what distributors sell HS teams now and the size of them, smaller than that
  9. Can't believe NBA, Soccer, Baseball players are not wearing knee pads, think of all those LIGAMENT SPRAINS that would be prevented. Better get on it boys, we got work to do
  10. See, I am on the opposite side of that coin, what does that very small knee pad these days actually protect?? ACL? nope..;MCL Nope, PCL NOPE, LCL, NOPE. ok so what does the knee pad serve?? a Bruise?? cmon man. The size of the knee pads that we have really do not do anything other than cover the knee cap, thats all they do, if you catch a helmet or another knee to the that area, even with a a knee pad, its gonna sting still, pad or no pad. I see zero purpose for them personally.
  11. my take aways from college games..... IF YOURE NOT GOING TO WEAR A MOUTHPIECE THEN JUST TAKE IT OFF THE MASK. just flopping around is dumb and yes I am old man yelling at a cloud.......lets not even get started with the "game pants". I mean "shorts" amirite @Bobref @JustRules @Impartial_Observer @Yuccaguy
  12. I think they need to continue to get Card on the move, always good to help a developing OL to move the pocket and help your QB in that regard. Running up the middle with MOCK was the atrocious part, really think TRACY gets that ball in. Or even a quick JET to Sheffield or Burks to catch the corner. Defense just got worked in man coverage over and over again, QB bought time and him and that Slot WR had a field day sadly. Live and Learn I hope No doubt though that was a BOWL team and team that won their division last year, so not as bad of loss as that Eastern Michigan rain game under Brohm IMO
  13. Disappointed in Harrell's inability to use Mockabee in the pass game and zero screen action to help his very poor offensive line. Fresno was a very capable team, bowl team, great offensive minded HC and they just did things too stubborn. For instance, when Mock couldn't push a pile in 1st half at goal line so they went Tracy and boom, pushed it in, you'd think you'd learn that lesson and not see that 4th quarter debacle at the goal line. Be very pleased if PU can sneak into a bowl game in year 1 of this regime.
  14. He was an absolute DOG for the Pirates in HS
  15. I watched preview and will watch it soon, however, just from preview I wanted to punch him square in the nose
  16. That's where the Older Fatmen go!!! So I've been told!!!
  17. not that he needs anyone to "vouch" for him, but @scarab527 has been around boards, for a long time always backing the 59ers, I kind of know things in the central time zone 🙂
  18. Folks, its middle of July, there is not 1 College coach in the nation scouting all star game in Indiana saying, hey we need to offer this kid an opportunity to play at our school that enrolls in 5 weeks or have camp start in 2 to 3 weeks. Players who are in the game have already committed to various places, from Indiana Wesleyan to Wabash and in between. Just wanted to debunk the myth that somehow players who in this game either lost their scholarship/grant opportunity or had teams tell them no thanks due to performance/behavior of a few 15 yard penalties . Im with Yuca here, things happened, it wasn't a bench clearing violent event, nothing close to it, officials separated players, officials then talked to each HC and my guess told them, hey guys we have like 5 mins left here, lets get together and finish, of course next play there was more extra curricular and with 4 mins to go and 21-2 score, it was time to call it a day deemed by the on field crew. Lets just pump the breaks on the travesty of entire 54 year or so event and now all of sudden the whole system is wrong and game is pointless. definition of 0=60 of internetting.
  19. The North South All Star game since it inception is a representative game to highlight our state players and coaches from all classes and corners of the state. D1 or not, that has always been the case, for some fans with D1 not participating the last 10 years ish, it has lost its luster for them, but for communities and coaches it really means alot, so I prefer to focus on that and believe that last nights actions by a few isn't going to tarnish the concept and event in the future
