I’ll take the win also. Bye week before the 49ers. Still have the Giants and Redskins in addition to the three divisional opponents. I like where we’re at.

Everybody and their mother loves SEC football. I expect the Ducks to get the shaft. Then again, Pasadena is beautiful in January...

I would keep the guy they have at Central. Consolidation is tough enough. Why go out and bring in an unknown. I am not sure why some corporations consolidate and change everything and others stick with their original school
Anderson closed Highland and Madison Heights and kept everything Anderson
Kokomo closed Haworth and it stayed Kokomo
East Chicago closed Roosevelt and Washington into EC Central
Mich City closed Elston and merged with Rogers and went back to M City which is how everyone knew Elston
SOuth Bend closed Central and LaSalle stayed with everything the same
I am going to miss the Blue Blazers because that was Elkhart for so long
I like the Coachmen as a nod to the RV industry.

Hell has froze.
Not necessarily. Although Penn is one if the best teams in the state, it further underscores my contention that sports are cyclical.
-
Not sure, just what I saw in the paper. There were outliers, such as Peoria and Richards (south suburbs), who play tonight.
-
According to the hardest working paper, the Chicago Sun-Times, most big schools games such as Edwardsville (southern)-Minooka (Chicago suburb) and Normal (Central)-Chicago Phillips are on Saturday.
Discuss.

Soooo thankful for e learning days. I too think it is shaping up to be a nasty Winter.
My guess--I never believe the hype, but I think this year is different.

Yeah I woke up to 15 degrees today, here in Green Bay....one of these packer games is gonna be a nasty one I think. It feels like we are a month ahead of schedule for winter and if that’s true January is going to be very rough and very cold
Cold here, too. Just 29 here, but for early November it’s much colder than usual. This winter could be a bad one...

Madison is a awesome place, and the people are very friendly. It should be a good time.

I look forward to it. A lot of my friends are Badger fans and I’m sure I’ll be in the thick of it.
I’ve been to enemy stadiums a lot before. Heck, I even walk don’t the streets of Chicago in Packers gear. But the latter is an easy one: “1985 was a long time ago”, “what’s Mitch’s QBR”

Good luck! I've heard that's not a friendly place to be!
Brohm said in his presser this week he does not expect Sindelar back this year. He didn't rule it out, but said he didn't expect it. I would think it would be nice to have, but given his injury history, would he even hold up?
I don’t think it will be as hostile as it would be against Michigan and Minnesota.

Gipper, as long as you wear a Packers hat or something, you will be fine there. 🤣

I still am holding out hope Sindelar can play against Wisconsin and IU.

I still would love to see an IU-Notre Dame Pinstripe Bowl...

a LOT to all this.
I’ve never been sold and Frost, and don’t think he is what Nebraska needs right now. They need more of a gravel in your gut and spit in your eye taskmaster who can bash heads.

I have never seen such a star-crossed season. I didn't even know how to react when Plummer went down. It was beyond "are you kidding me?" because there have been so many others. I think it was more like "well of course he is hurt." O'Connell has looked decent in limited time. Odds are they won't get a bowl game anyway, so hopefully they can beat Northwestern and keep the bucket in West Lafayette.
I’ll be at the Wisconsin game. Looks like me against 87,000 red wearing drunks jumping around...

Plummer to undergo surgery. AOC (Aidan O’Connell) is now the man.

Seen a thing. Don’t know if it’s real....
Bob Stoops???
Stoops would be that big time name
Very true, but I thought it was Mark Stoops from UK. I also can’t help but wonder how happy Lane Kiffin is at Florida Atlantic. Are they even FBS?

Thoughts about Tom Allen and the Florida State job?
Looks like a raise is coming to him at Indiana.........
I didn't realize this (from the article)
His 17 wins (and counting) over his first three seasons are the most for an Indiana coach in the post-World War II era.
He is the lowest paid coach in the Big Ten at $1.8M/yr
(Sorry if already covered in the IU thread)
Although I was being somewhat facetious in my linking Allen to the Noles, it would be best for IU to keep him. Rutgers is now the lapdog, let IU eat at the adult table.
