Apparently you guys haven’t been to places like Texas, Nevada, and Wyoming.

Based on my ugly contest bracket, 6A was a minefield for the favorites...
#4 Merrillville 27 #2T Laf Jeff 20
Carroll 42 #11 Snider 31 at Snider
Westfield 42 #6 Fishers 14
#8 Brownsburg 27 #1 Avon 24 (revenge for when Avon knocked out unbeaten BB last year 38-0)
LN 14 LC 7
Franklin Central 14 Col North 11
(near-huge upset: #2T unbeaten Homestead scored late to take 1-8 Noblesville to OT & then Homestead won 24-21)
5A
Slicers knocked off Michigan City 14-10 @ City (Hmmmmm....where's that preseason article in which MC Coach Mason proclaimed that it would be either Valpo or City representing the north at LOS?)
Castle 28 @ #8 Bl North 21 OT
4A
Lebanon 32 Western 31
3A
2-8 Princeton 35 8-2 Edgewood 6 (35-6?!!!)
2A
Andrean 27 #6 Boone Grove 0
1A
Northfield 14 #3 Southwood 6
I still contend Andrean over Boone Grove was not an upset. Andrean plays in a much tougher conference and were much more physical. I still like BG, don’t get me wrong, but this was not an upset. The Rensselaer game will be epic.

That's why I enjoy the all in. On any given Friday during the playoffs, the best team doesn't always win.
Right on!

A score NOT from the Region:
West Lafayette 34, Guerin Catholic, 31
Final
Already posted, I know... -
Lowell 48, Griffith 14
Rensselaer 28, North Newton 6
Andrean 20, Boone Grove 0
Lafayette Jeff 14, Merrillville 14
all 3rd
-
Getting Ugly:
Valpo 49, Munster 0
Hobart 28, Highland 0
Lowell 41, Griffith 14
all at or near recess
-
Lowell 27, Griffith 14
Andrean 14, Boone Grove 0
both in second quarter
The correspondents from Lakeshore Game Night picked Andrean largely due to their respective conference affiliation (Andrean, NCC BG, Greater South Shore) which mirrors that of Lowell and Griffith
-
6A
CP & LC tied at 7, Merrillville up on Jeff by 1
5A
Valpo having no trouble with Munster
4A
Hobart beating the snot out of Highland

Yeah, I figured that's where you were going. Snider down 28-10. Snider's coaching staff is getting obliterated.
Not like I’m bitter or anything, to each their own.

Lol, I do?
Of course you do: contraction (the logical explanation for mediocrity from a certain poster who shall remain nameless).

Barely into the 2nd quarter and Snider has 8 penalties for 80 yards. Down 21-10. And Carroll really isn't that good.
Homestead down 7-0. SAC could be grossly overrated.
You know what that means...

Back to the topic.
One other thing stood out to me: “previously undefeated foe.”
Presumably not a “hapless” opponent. Although it does seem, even though both teams were undefeated Plainedge clearly operates at a higher level than South Shore.
Perhaps South Shore needs to upgrade it’s schedule to be better prepared for the likes of Plainedge.
Get better or go home! 😜
I agree with your last point 100%! But again, that’s a tough one. Many people want competitive balance and similar Marxist outcomes. Here’s my balance: one winner, one loser.

Very slippery slope here. With regard to the kids who don't score often who suddenly find them themselves thrust into that position: sure they want to take advantage and do well (human nature), it must be hard for them to go out and just fall over.

Cobra Kai would love this thread...

he has made progress this week according to Brohm, but not available this weekend
He has said as soon as he is healthy he plays, so I do not believe a Red Shirt will be used.
Thank you clearing that up. it's not like we don't have a full stable of WR's...

We’re they going for two after each touchdown?

I almost forgot about the hockey rink and rock climbing wall.

I don't think Jeff over Merrillville is that much of an upset, I just wonder how much scoring there will be. I also am concerned if there are end zone cameras, but that's another story.
To answer my own self, which I'm known to do (schizophrenia and all), I bet Demareeeeeeeee Stadium does have end zone cameras. It's one of the best facilities in the Region that is not a casino. In a addition to the triple-decker 105,000 seats capacity stadium with turf, the complex also features, baseball and softball diamonds, cricket grounds, soccer fields, a speed-skating oval, driving range, clay tennis courts, waterslides, a Starbucks coffee house, and an airplane hangar.
