  1. As an Adams County fan I want the Starfires to win. Just a bit concerned as they struggled against Marion Local, Bluffton, & AC on stopping the run. Also had some blocking struggles as well against the better defenses. Maybe the Panthers will turn the ball over just enough and the Starfires can prevail. Hopefully the Jets can have a similar result against Andrean to prevail as well. GO STARFIRES! GO FLYING JETS! GO ADAMS COUNTY!
  2. Should say pushing the school to push the state for Tebow rule.
  3. Have a feeling this could be a new trend that will emerge in Adams County. Heard at least one family & kids wanting to go online. I'm sure a few more would follow. I know one kid in my stepson's grade seems to be dual enrolled. Kid started online before school started & school advised against the online. Kid is supposedly going to school and then doing online/homeschooling program after school. Sounds like the family is really wanting to transition to majority online and then taking 1 class at the school (Tebow method) for athletics participation.
  4. Not different regionals. Those are the same. Just be a different semi state matchup each year.
  5. Yes neutral sites as well. Unless you want to be like Iowa that makes 2 trips to UNI. That would have to be something discussed by LOS & IHSAA.
  6. Would anyone be in favor of a 3 year rotation? Example would be 2A Regional winner of Sectionals champs 33/34 plays Regional winner of 35/36 in year one (37/38 vs 39/40); year 2 33/34 plays 37/38 & 35/36 plays 39/40; year 3 33/34 plays 39/40 & 35/36 plays 37/38. Easier example if this year's 4 teams made it 3 in a row: Year 1 Andrean vs AC & Lapel vs BC; Year 2 Andrean vs Lapel & AC vs BC; Year 3 Andrean vs BC & AC vs Lapel;
  7. You have to put AC & SA at the same location. Can you imagine that crowd? I know it wouldn't be great logistically but that would be fun!
  8. I'll take it! Going for a rare chance of 5 state appearances in a row was a far fetched fantasy when we lost all those semi states before 2000 and all those between then and 2021. That 2003 game still haunts me. When we look back in a few years, we will appreciate how great this era has been for Adams Central football. Heck Adams County football with SA in 2020 followed by AC 2021 through 2024. 2nd year in a row both AC & SA are playing in the semi state.
  9. We will be down the next couple years unless underclassmen step up. Just a testament to the program going from 1A to 2A & win a championship. Now playing for semi state and moving to 3A. Next week will be tough as Andrean is just another great program. I was surprised we upset them last year. They'll be gunning for us this time.
  10. Not many at all. Maybe 1 or 2 kids that play. 1 of the 2 started at AC then Bellmont & then to the Lutheran school in elementary & middle school. Then AC for high school. The other maybe MS at Bellmont and then HS at AC. You can PM me and I'll give you the details on why Bellmont is struggling. Bellmont could be in the same position as AC & SA if certain things would be done. I'm hoping all 3 schools are in different classes when these 7th & 8th graders are Juniors & Seniors.
  11. @temptation not sure if I should like your 1A & 2A picks or dislike them lol. 2 Adams County teams making it in the same year (like) but losing in the finals (dislike).
  12. As I round out the Adams County teams, Good Luck to the Bellmont Braves! We all know it's been a tough go for awhile, but the community & county are noticing the grit these players have. It is not easy to keep going when in the tough times these Braves have been in. However, they put the pads on and keep going at it. Another reason football & sports are great, as they can teach life lessons. In life you will get knocked down frequently and you must get back up. These Braves have done just that. Eventually it's all going to change and the Braves will get back on track.
  13. Edit for OP, as Adams Central would be looking for their 5th straight trip this year! (3 in 1A & 1 in 2A last year) Go Flying Jets! Here is to hopefully another deep playoff to continue the tradition!
  14. Good luck to the Starfires! Hopefully they can clean things up and make another deep post season run.
  15. Depends if the Bluffton team against SA shows up or the one against Heritage. Also depends if the AC team vs SA shows up or the one against Heritage.
  16. Forever! I like how some OH places have championships on the left & runner ups on the right. Heck I'd put up any for any extra curricular activities. Put those FFA, band, dance/cheer, and etc up. Have a 4H state fair Grand champ, put a sign in their yard. I'm all about celebrating the success of our communities in many facets.
  17. Talent wise across the board, no this isn't the best. However Roach & Fravel are really great players. I think the one thing that has benefited this team is having players that grew up in football families. They have football IQ and don't panic when things go astray. Also have some grit that last year's seniors rubbed off on them. The one issue has been turnovers that have put them in a bind/close games. Also have a small feeling that some decisions were a test to see if this team could handle some adversity as they may not be as gifted as the 4 prior teams. Also have guys that didn't go out last year that are playing & getting back to their football ways. Last Friday was the first time they seemed to click in all 3 facets of the game.
  18. Absolutely! My Jet faithful may not like me saying it but South Adams has a great shot to represent 1A North at LOS. I'd love to see SA and AC go down together. Will be tough for the Jets with Andrean, Eastern, Bluffton & others in 2A North. I think East Noble/Dwenger winner has a good shot as well. Never count Luers out regardless of their record too!
  19. Thoughts on the NE teams in 6A Sectionals 2 & 4(Homestead); 5A Sectional 11; 4A Sectionals 18, 19, & 20; 3A Sectionals 26 & 28; 2A Sectionals 35 & 36; 1A Sectionals 43 & 44. Who will win their Sectionals & Regionals to represent the area? Who has the chance to win semi state & play in LOS?
  20. Thanks for all the hard work getting it back up & running!
  21. I remember the days when Leo was the easy W in the ACAC. Then some closings happened and they became one of the top teams in the ACAC as many would have expected. They've used the momentum to be a top team in the NE8 as well.
  22. Unfortunately yes. I'm just guessing that the issue of non football doing co-op with football is determining enrollment. Also, do they already allow kids from school A without sport play for school B with sport of ADs sign off on it? Just throwing it out there but maybe they are wanting to go 8 man route and hopefully those become 11 man. I don't like that thinking based on the spread of most 8 man programs. Oh well I guess as I'm usually on the opposite end of thought when it comes to these things vs IHSAA/OHSAA.
  23. I'm going out on a limb and say Union of Modoc (believe they presented it while they're still a school) & Randolph Southern would be 2 wanting to become a co-op. I'd think you may have a few in Southern Indiana that were basketball only or possibly just starting 8 man.
  24. Would the co-op idea have more backing if they put wording that it must be 2 schools that do not offer football joining up? They can handle the big transfer portal idea but I'm guessing the co-op would have made that a bigger problem. Thus why it most likely failed. I'll just call it a win getting girls flag football as an emerging sport. I won't talk about the fumbling on the other issues. Another example of coming up short on 4th down and you have no timeouts left near the end of the game for the IHSAA.
  25. Wonder if it is a large school vs small school or gender for the sport issue or the amount of sports at the same time. Love to see it grow in smaller schools (3A-1A). I wasn't a huge fan of flag but it has grown on me. My stepson played it for his former school in Ohio from at least 1st/2nd to 4th grade and then joined me in tackle for his 5th & 6th grade years in Indiana. In that time we had a flag league in the area that served 2 or so schools. Believe with naming & school pressure and/or liability they went to just serving the school they were associated in name. Being affiliated with the tackle league for both, I was asked about having a flag league for the other school. I somehow got things rolling in short order and have their league up & running. The turnout has been bigger than I expected from players & parents/supporters. We have a couple of girls playing but if we had a HS girls flag team I bet we could get more.
