  1. I thought about this the other day...and I’m not up on everything Boonville, but seriously, do they even win the conference in ANY sport?? Softball?? Wrestling ?? Cause we sure as heck know it won’t happen in football...basketball no...baseball nope.
  2. PAC voted today to add the 4 remaining Big 8 schools for the 2020-2021 school year. Don’t know if it’s been posted on here, didn’t want to go through and read all of it. Pretty predictable move when Jasper and VL jumped ship.
  3. Have NEVER been a Gordon Englehardt fan - and this article just reeks of "7th grade girl gossip". When did he become an opinion columnist? "Several texted questions" were sent ...is this how reporting is done nowadays?? I would prefer just news/facts - not speculation. Sorry, rant over.
  4. Not really as much as North Posey 😕 Knowing what I do about how this all came together, very surprised this didn't pass with little fuss at the Big 8 meeting. Wonder who/what changed from the beginning??
  5. . Very well stated and thought out. Couldn't agree more.
  6. In my opinion- Tecumseh has absolutely NO leverage to say what they want/don’t want. How they’ve been allowed to operate as a member of the PAC for this long with basically dropping out of football is beyond me. They are either in this merger, or OUT all together in every sport. Every time I read this thread I just get ticked off...wrong message to send to kids/program- but I’ve been down that road. Carry on
  7. This whole thing is a shame without Al Bundy. Polk High Football legend
  8. One would think, the only exception being time-zone. HH is Central, SR Eastern. While not a huge deal, if one was gonna stay with Evansville sectional, you would think it would be HH
  9. And ?? I don't think you'll see NP/GS, SS/GS, TC/GS, FP/GS either. Find it interesting that I read in another thread that Gibson "supposedly" tried to schedule MD in an effort to "strengthen" their schedule...yet want to drop SR? Hmm...pretty sure SR has a pretty good track record vs. MD the past 20 years or so....dare I even say a winning record?? But, must be an SIAC bias type of thing. Whatever, they don't think we're good enough, then fine.
  10. Ya, I'm not in love with that 2 hour drive😒 - pretty sure other PAC teams would feel the same. Linton is a bit too "north" for our liking.
  11. The last time Southridge was in 3A- we went East to 31. Being on eastern time that seems to make the most sense
  12. You are 100% incorrect if you think some Big 8 teams didn’t play a role in these dealings as well. The end product may be a deal that works out and/or people can live with it- but I’m telling you the way it went about was SHADY and in my opinion, unprofessional.
  13. Trust me- I’m not important enough for anyone to listen to. If I were, these “backroom” dealings and shenanigans would have been nipped in the butt a long time ago. And NP would have been reprimanded for acting as such. But alas, once the wheels are set in motion it’s a tough train to stop. Just don’t understand why we fee the need to come to the aid of another conference falling apart-
  14. Get over yourself- PAC banners are great, but we’ll gladly take that State Championship banner and a semi-State appearance the following year in its place. Over the last 2 decades, we (SHS) have enjoyed a great run of success no doubt. We worked our tails off to get to that point- but the fact remains we don’t have some of the demographic/socioeconomic/enrollment advantages that these “upper” schools enjoy. Why would/should we advocate for a system that would place us in an “uneven” division?? We can’t look into the future- we don’t know where we will be 5-10 years down the road. Do we hope that our success will continue?? No doubt we do, but a school our size loses one great athlete, it can be a game changer. This whole talk of adding in these teams and creating divisions to me is non-sense. A couple of the smaller schools cry about getting beat up by GS/HH every year and we want to blow the whole thing up?? Whatever...to me it sends the wrong message. Not too long ago (early 90s) we were a bottom half team in the conference- but we put our heads down, went to work, and got better. We didn’t cry and try to get the whole conference to cater to our needs. Just my opinion.
