  1. First I’ve heard of that. But ND’s law school has sent several judges to the 7th Cir.
  2. Man, I said before the game that I’d take the Bengals and the under. I’m gonna have to put my money where my mouth is.
  3. Int by the Bates kid! Is he from Indy?
  4. Great commercial for BMW with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Selma Hayek!
  5. If you’re trying to make an analogy between the composition of the defense team and the representation of non-white head coaches in the NFL, you might as well compare apples to screwdrivers.
  6. Game is about to start. Line is Rams by 4.5, and the over/under is 49. Post your observations here. And don’t forget to cheer on our own Bryan Neale, working the Umpire position today. MIBT GTBO DFIU!
  7. I don’t particularly care what the method is … within reason. I think coaches’ voting is problematic. There’s only 32 of them, so even a small block working together to promote .. or blackball … someone, can skew the vote. How do the other sports do it? Isn’t baseball also media?
  8. Interesting viewpoint, and one I’m more in sync with than you might think. But not really responsive to the subject at hand.
  9. I thought it was whether you put your shopping cart in the cart corral or left it in the parking lot.
  10. Well, it’s just my opinion, but I think what makes sense is for the season’s MVP to be judged on the entire season’s body of work. We’ll put our best scientists to work solving the dreaded “recency bias” issue. Maybe hypnosis, some combination of drugs, I don’t know. But I’m confident that, somehow, we can overcome it together.
  11. I guess I shouldn’t have included all the Asian Americans and Pacific Islander Americans playing in the NFL in that number. 😅🤣😂
  12. The Officials Code of Ethics appears as Appendix G to the NF Rule Book. It does not directly address this issue. It does provide that “Officials shall be punctual and professional in the fulfillment of all contractual obligations,” and “Officials shall uphold the honor and dignity of the profession in all interaction with student-athletes, coaches, athletic directors, school administrators, colleagues, and the public.” But nothing specific to this point. I confess, I got a t-shirt from Penn once, and they also gave me the game ball when I ended my on-field career there in 2017.
  13. Unless you’re talking about IHSAA football.
  14. No, I’m saying my original statement of 75% was pretty accurate.
