  1. Back to football anyone? Geeesh.
  2. You're a better man than I am if you were able to stay awake for that game. I'm hoping to make to the third quarter of the ND/Georgia game.
  3. Alive? Half those guys are about to be dead.
  4. Lol, I like how you think. I am a bit old fashioned, but you don't know my wife. Ugh! "Hey woman, go get me a sandwich." That doesn't work real well 2024. God bless, I have no doubt that you're a good man.
  5. That seems a little passive aggressive to me. As a leader of people for several years, I think you'd be better served by posting that link in a new topic designated for donations. But hey, you do you. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.
  6. Well, if I recal, you singled some people out publicly. I'm a believer that nothing good comes from that. You're better off sending private messages to posters. But if you much say something publicly, address everyone, not just a few. For example: Dear Members, If you haven't made a donation in the past 12 months, the GID would greatly appreciate your generosity. To put into perspective, a date night at the movies with your significant other cost's $30 and it's over in two hours. The GID provides entertainment for some of us 365 days a year. A minimum donation of $30 doesn't seem like too much to ask. Thank you for being loyal members of the club and thanks in advance for your donations. You know, something like that. But that's just me.
  7. That would be entertaining for sure, but.................the GID is very aware of the fact that several high school football players and coaches frequently read the content on this forum, thus the necessity to keep things civil.
  8. Lol, might depend on the value of your donation. Just don't curse. They don't like it when Rodney says bad words.
  9. That's what I'm saying about Cody. He was perceived as a clown when he first came onto the scene, and quite frankly, still is. But everyone now knows who he is and follow his content. Kudos to him.
  10. That's where you come in. You know, like the 1A threads you used to create. Think of something different though. I'm okay with 1A.
  11. Like Cody or hate him, he's kind of made a household name for himself with regard to Indiana high school football. I had an appreciation for DT's content. He brought some good topics to the table. Maybe your New Years Resolution could be to pick up where DT left off? There you go Rodney, we're counting on you to create one new topic per week, starting today.
  12. Don't need your reminder. You have a way of making posters not want to donate. I get it, you're trying to do the right thing, but there's something off about your approach. When someone donates, they don't want to think it's because gonzoron pressured them to do so. So again, change your approach before you start having a negative impact on the financial health of the Gridiron Digest. Enjoy your Sunday, God Bless.
  13. Sorry, lost all respect for Alabama when they got trounced at Oklahoma (same team that lost to Navy). Was I seeing things or did they really make a real life giant pop tart?
  14. Play the man in shoots -n- ladders. Sounds to me like he's willing to pay win or lose, even though there's a slight caveat to him losing. I'll double my donation this year if you die your hair pink. Take one for the team.
  15. Offended? Hell, I'm still laughing. I'm willing to bet PHIrish got a little giggle out of it as well.................but I only bat .400 on my bets these days.
  16. Not going to get in the middle of a pissing match between @Irishman and @temptation, both posters whom I respect. But I do think @Impartial_Observer lit a match on Temp's "titanic" comment. I thought it was pretty funny..............and I have loads of respect for @PHJIrish.
  17. You really couldn't see the humor in his post? That's also a sad state of affairs. Stop disappearing for long periods Rodney. This forum isn't quite the same without ya.
  18. I think "wiped the floor with them" is a stretch. None of those teams are Notre Dame or Ohio State.
  19. Thanks. I can roll with that. I get the Hornung argument. I'm wondering about Tommy Mcdonald though. He averaged more yards per carry than Brown did. Might be worth me researching. Maybe it was strength of schedule.
  20. Agree, but Angeli's worked really hard for the spot. It's nice having depth, but I like seeing the kids get an opportunity to play. If Carr wins the position, Angeli needs to move on.
  21. I just have a hard time feeling sorry for this guy, especially after the recent discussion on this forum relating to "character."
  22. So what are your thoughts on Paul Hornung and Tommy McDonald finishing ahead of Jim Brown? We all know the value Hornung brought to a football team. McDonald averaged 7.2 yards per carry versus Brown's 6.2. Do you believe that Brown got "screwed"? The 50's were rough, I do get that.
  23. I have a hard time belieiving that Angeli or Carr can't lead this team with the same efficiency as the last two, if not better. At some point you have to trust the players you recruited. The guys who committed to your program. I get it if your desperate, but that's not Notre Dame.
  24. Another embarrassing outing by the SEC. Indiana's stock continues to climb.
